Don was my grandfather...he passed June 4th and I was looking through some vids of the band and came across this video he showed me a couple years ago..he was so proud to tell me about his life in the music industry and so was I..I teared up hearing his voice when he sang with them towards the end of he video..May he Rest In Peace ❤️❤️❤️❤️
When CC did the album 'The Change Has Come' ( released 1982 ) I heard ( saw on t.v. ) he and his great band perform 'Harder Than Diamonds' & was blown away! The title of the album hinted ( to me.. a musician ) that he wanted to 'shed' the sort of 'stigma' of years earlier ( The Twist, etc ) but the public didn't seem to want to have it?? To this day when I play the album or show people the video of that television episode ( here on CZcams ).. they're blown away! I became a major recording-music industry Producer/Engineer ( retired ) but am still involved in a Sound for Film & Artist Development Studio and the caliber of musicians I have played that song/album for are ALWAYS blown away!!
