Good video, but I think a more useful comparison would be the Activator vs a paddle in the $75 range for beginners. Realistically, no one who can afford to invest $230 in a paddle is even going to consider the low end one, so comparing them might be fun and entertaining, but not extremely useful. I started with a no name set of 4 from Amazon ($70 for all 4 with balls and carry bag), it's still a graphite/carbon 7.8oz, T700 elongated, textured paddle and has been great for learning the game. It was a great decision not to invest $200 straight away because now I have a much better idea of what specs I'm looking for in a paddle. For me, rather than spin, I'm more focused on the swing weight and the twist weight of the paddles I'm looking to upgrade to. I would simply not have known how important that is to me before I actually played regularly for several months. Also, nothing goes to waste once I upgrade because I now have a decent set of paddles for family and friends to use when they visit.
Yes. What a fun review! We bought 4 really cheap paddles off Amazon when we started playing pickleball. It would be interesting to play with that first paddle again. It said in the description it had a carbon fiber face (Liars!). I couldn't do anything with that paddle. But I don't know enough about paddles to understand why it was so lame... balance maybe among other things. Anyway, thanks for your great review!

Lol yeah, I did this mostly for entertainment value to see what it's like using a $10 paddle when we have so much to choose from these days. Pretty freaking hilarious right?

Yeah the 3x is my favorite too of the 3 also I like the 2x as well. 1x is actually my least favorite. I'll try and get a review out soon!
