    This upset win by the Cardinals basically changed Seattle's season. Seattle was the #2 seed until they lost. They most likely would've hosted the NFC championship with Dallas losing and would've most likely gone to the super bowl. This lost forced them to go on the road instead to get their feathers kicked in by Atlanta. And I enjoyed every second of it.

    This game in 2018:
    2:21 "Personal foul, touching the quarterback, defense number 54. Fifteen point penalty from the end of the run, automatic loss of game."

    After the Baldwin touchdown there is a blurb that says "Wilson has targeted Baldwin 38 times, more than any other receiver in his career". What? Is that in one game? No. He hasn't thrown the ball to anyone more than 38 times? No. What the fuck does that mean? Is there not suppose to be a comma in that sentence?

    When the league realigned in 2002 and put these two teams in the same division, I doubt anyone at the time thought they'd become one of the more entertaining rivalries of the 21st Century. After all, the Seahawks then were mediocre at best, and the Cardinals were perennial basement dwellers. Also, this was the only new divisional rivalry where both teams were plucked from elsewhere (Seattle from the AFC West and Arizona from the NFC East). My my, how things have changed!

    • @CompletelyRandomAndUnknown
      @CompletelyRandomAndUnknown Před 5 lety

      ZhangtheGreat cardinals NFC East! Ha! Just like the Panthers and Falcons in the NFC West!

    • @ZhangtheGreat
      @ZhangtheGreat Před 5 lety

      Heh, I know, right? On the surface, it seemed like back then that the NFL didn't understand geography at all, but of course we know that's not why teams were in those divisions. The Cardinals were in the East because of their histories in Chicago and St. Louis, and the Falcons were in the West because the division was originally named the "Coastal" division and changed its name to the West after the merger. The Panthers joined the league in the West simply to balance out the divisions since the West only had four teams while the other divisions all had five.

    If you think about it, whatever we release Jets just pick them up. Like Todd Bowels, after he got the boot for defensive coordinator jets signed him as their head coach. We release Cantanzaro, Jets picked him up, and some WR we dropped the Jets pricked him up to Whose next?

    7:45: Q4, 6.41, ARI 28 SEA 18, SEA has the ball - "Win probability calculator ARI: 98.3%, SEA 1.7%"
    10:30: Q4, 4.10 ARI 31 SEA 18, SEA has the ball - "Win probability calculator ARI: 95.98%, SEA 4.02%"
    So, according to "Pro Football Reference" (they are credited with this "Win probability calculator"), at 4.10 in Q4 Seattle has 2 minutes and 31 seconds less, and are losing by 3 points more than at 6.41 - and yet, they have a more than 2% better chance to win? In what mathematical system does it make any sense???

    This game was huge because the Seahawks lost the falcons got to be the 2nd seed and Seattle had to play at Atlanta Instead of Vice versa. If it was in Seattle the Seahawks might’ve gone back to the super bowl
