This sauce is actually really solid idk why people are judging without tasting it. Most people don't realize half the sauces they eat contain a boat load of mayonnaise or other fats. I add a bit more flavor to my white BBQ sauce by grating in half a clove of garlic it adds a great depth. Chicken looks banging!

Yall can do math and make it smaller if u want. gallon mayo, 4.5 pounds or sour cream, half cup garlic salt, 3/4 cup granulated garlic, 3 cups buttermilk, 2.5 cups chives. FOLD IT, DO NOT MIX WITH BLENDER.

If you sub mayo with ranch, you're subbing mayo with flavored mayo. Vinegar is also a key ingredient of mayo. You don't sub anything - you're just making more mayo using mayo as a base, because you are a mayo base.
If you are British this is essentially heinz salad cream. With apple vinager, horse radish and worstershire sauce its basically a prawn cocktail sause minus the ketchup and its beautiful.
Mayonnaise and Salad Cream are nothing alike; whether you use salad cream or mayonnaise in a dish is a choice. Prawn Cocktail sauce without the ketchup is just mayonnaise so nothing like this white sauce.
