How many times can he show gravel, a battery room reading, a scraggly garden and a handful of berries. Now the latest… how he gets cleaned up. Geez! I understand that everything takes time, but his content has changed. Biggest turn off for me was when he started to say “my group” and “my people”. So be it, I know I don’t have to watch., but hope others are cautious. I wish him and them success.
Looking forward to seeing what all Joe does with his property. I have watched enough past videos to see that he has a more thought through approach to peaceful living.
Maybe you and all the people that find him so interesting should get your own lives

I think I would definitely add a vapor barrier if you didn't put one under the gravel. Also when you add the porch I would definitely make sure they are fastened to the building to help hold it down if you're not going to put tie downs in the ground. Could even add a post to each back corner also I would add hurricane straps inside to hold the roof on with the winds we've been getting maybe even throw some extra screws in places to make sure everything's tied together good. Should make him a nice place though I plan to do something like that when I get older and sell my house. Are you going to give us updates on his build or is it private??
+@davidframe1613 the whole bottom of the shed has spray foam insulation from the factory. We are considering tie downs, and looking at different options.

+@TheBigfoot567 Things have changed in the last ten years. It wasn’t a county problem before, it was the township. Also, this is going to be a seasonal cabin, not a permanent home. I’ve learned a few things since back then. Especially terminology lol.

+@teddybear894 That’s a good question. I have 10 acres, but like a lot of places in the area, a lot of it is vertical. If I could flatten it out, I’d have about 25 acres lol. I have to take into consideration where houses are located in respect to the shared septic system and well. There are many other places he could have put the house, but you have to factor in the costs of clearing the land, preparing the pad, installing a septic system and a water source. Doing it like this, we can share the cost of those things. Unlike some other channels who seem to have unlimited financial resources, we don’t lol. I do not have, nor do I want to have 50 or so people building things at my home and paying an “HOA” fee monthly for those things. This is a less expensive alternative to the completely unaffordable housing situation for my family.

+@Cindy9043atyahoo Thank you. I am a nice person. Fortunately, these are not “my people” per se. I like Ed, and certainly support him and his decisions. If I agree with them or not doesn’t matter. I also tend to be sarcastic at times, which sometimes comes across the wrong way. In this whole video I only mentioned PN1 once, and that was in a joking manner. I can’t control what other people bring into conversations. I do know know he and I do a lot of things differently, it’s good to talk about the reasons for the differences. It’s beneficial.
@@StBernardAcres yes in this video you didn’t say much but in plenty others it’s ruthless the way people talk . I have NEVER heard him slam anyone else . Why the attraction to a man that is doing his best and doesn’t bother anyone else. It bothers me to no end

At one point, it was really bad. I did a video addressing that exact problem, and that we weren’t going to play like that anymore. But I will continue to discuss the differences between mine and other preppers methods.
