    I'm going to make a few pin cushions for my sewing area. This is definitely going in as it can be a weight for holding but fill with walnut shells. Thank u shes awesome.

    oh my GOODNESS!!! I just made my first chicken pincushion about 10 minutes ago. I wish I had found this before I tried it, because I absolutely LOVE the comb and the little chicken legs on these!!!

    That is a comb on top of a chicken's head and a wattle under the beak. ❤

    French knots would work fot eyes, embroidery embellishments would be cute.

    The beads won’t fly away if you pour them out on a piece of felt or even a paper towel

    Cute idea. Some holes in a bead or two will have a really tiny hole so pick any bead. If you measure where the eye is and add the seam measurement you can sew the bead on before you sew the seams. Then the fabric will not have wrinkles.

    Would have been nice if your working, and placing on the squares was in frame, instead of the large portion taken up with the chicks you had previously done.

    In the beginning you mentioned you filled the large chicken with Emery. Can you tell me what that is? Thx

    • @bellebouquet8869
      @bellebouquet8869  Před 2 lety +1

      Emery is aluminum oxide used for pincushion. Since I have made that pincushion I realized I shouldn't have filled the whole thing up with it. It cost a lot and after a while it will dull your pins. When you buy a tomato pincushion in the store it normally has a small tomato hanging off the top. That part of the tomato is filled with emery. It's to sharpen your needles when needed. I should have done something like that instead of filling the whole chicken pin cushion with emery. I ordered the emery online. I would suggest filling the pincushion with dried rice instead of emery. I have already made more pincushion just using the rice as filler.
