I'm in love with all your pincushions. I have so many vintage items and didn't really know what to do with them. Most of which I obtained from my grandmother who has since passed. Some are thrifted because I'm a huge Crystal and glassware collector. Now, I know what to do with them. I have only recently considered the idea of starting to sew but I do make handmade journals so I definitely need something to keep my needles in. Lord knows I'm always looking for one when the time comes to sew in a signature. 😅
I've always loved your vintage pin cushions. I like to make them in the lid of mason jars so it fits on top and can still open, I fill the jar with sewing notions for gifts. I have a vintage mouse with cheese planter that was my grandmother's I think I'll make one with it, thanks as always for the inspiration.
Lori, you are so very creative! I can already think of several objects around my home that would serve as perfect vessels. Thanks you for the inspiration!
What a fun idea! Now I need to go to the thrift stores when we can go shopping again so I can make a few of these pin cushions. Thanks Lori for this great tutorial. I am really liking your videos.

You've done an amazing job of recreating vintage fabric. The colors and patterns are spot on. I watched your 'about me' type video, and discovered you grew up in the time frame when these colors and patterns were popular, and that you grew up around sewing, quilting ladies. I had a somewhat similar experience, and distinctly remember the fabric of the day. I'm always scouring flea markets and yard sales for vintage sheets, pillowcases, kitchen linens, etc., because I love the prints and designs. If I could sew, I'd buy every fabric you put out. They are lovely.
Easy peasy is right! Oh boy, I’m dragging out all my vintage stuff I’ve gotten from my older family members and start making pin cushions. Thank you Lori! Great tutorial.
That was such a good idea. Being a 'Vintage' person myself and had my mother living with us for many year, I have LOADS of vintage items in my home. Non of my children want these things.... 'Dust collectors' mum! I've got 3 of those cute little cups with legs and spotty shoes.... Perfect for pin cushions....and I do lots of sewing so I can use them and have them out of the cupboard to look at again. Thanks for a good idea.
