      Thanks alex, its a nod to a japanese drifter. And it was a cheap way to squeeze more tire under the fender.

    seeing your build inspires me to continue yet i know its a matter of counting the cost. if you got time i;d like to ask a few questions regarding your experience with the 1uz

    @christianoneill9494 Před 4 lety +1

    Super clean! Much nicer than mine! I've got a Zenki Hatch 1UZ swap. What rear diff setup are you running? I'm running the factory GTS rear diff with Weir axles and spool.

    • @joshiroku
      @joshiroku  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks!! I have a custom weir hybrid diff. Its 7.5 supra lsd and center section with 6.7 axle tubes welded on . Uses his upgraded axles and internals.

    Hey josh, don't know if you'll see this, but for running the stock ecu, did you basically rip out the entire harness with the ecu, and toss it into the corolla and just use the stock ignition switch wired to it? I was wondering if the process is that straight forward or not./

    • @joshiroku
      @joshiroku  Před rokem

      Thats pretty much what i did. I tapped into the main engine plug from the chassis and just got power to what the lexus ecu needed. It was actually really straight forward.

    @mikebonilla8816 Před 3 lety +1

    Hi Josh,
    Amazing Build! How hard was it to get this to run on the factory ecu?

    • @joshiroku
      @joshiroku  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks Mike!! It wasnt hard at all. Theres a few key on inputs, a couple of constants and of course grounds and it will start. Its like 5 or 7 wires total depending on the yr model

      Do you have any writeups on how to wire the ECU? I'm in California and really considering a 1uz swap...just gotta figure out how to keep it smog legal.
