    Nice upgrade! Can't wait to see what they can do!

    Nice upgrade! Great montage, too! I agree with the diameter thing. Seems they measure at bead-seating pressure. It's never bothered me either way... but the offset part...ugh.. hopefully the extra width doesn't cause ya problems through the 50" restrictors. Hope this combo treats ya well... they sure look good! 👍👍

      Yeah, I hope the cost of looking cool isn't trouble fitting thru the gates 🤣

    Nice tires buddy. I just bought some tusk terrabite tires for my Can Am. In fact I am getting ready to go and get them mounted.
    I hope all is well. Take care out there.

      They should work really well in your neck of the woods. In central and southern Utah they were amazing. They've served me well for many miles in all sorts of terrain, but they love sand, rock, and hard pack. 👍

    can't go wrong with the Terrabite!

    My 32” Aramid Terrabites only measure 31.5 or so at 16 psi. I’m sure if I blew them up to 30 psi as stated on the sidewall, they’d measure true to size.

    Hi just wondering I have a 2017 polaris trail 51 1/2 wide I have been on a couple 50 in. trail in Marysvale I getting ready to retire and travel the U.S. I have heard stories about people getting tickets for being on a 50in. Or less trail for being over width and a little nervous about some trails having to tight of switchbacks for a SXS have you had any problems or heard of any? Thanks great videos.

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před 2 lety +1

      I have heard of it but never witnessed it. I suppose it is possible, the signs do say machines under 50 inches. If your machine fit through the gate I think you might be ok, but people that take their 60 inch plus machines around the gates or through fences to access 50 inch trails deserve a ticket in my opinion.
      There are two trails I won't take my SXS on due to switchbacks. Trail 73 on the South edge of the Paiute and trail 33 East of Marysvale. I've done both of those trails on a ATV, but have no desire to take my SXS on them.

    They do look great. Send them back with Amazon and get the right size wheel

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před 2 lety

      That's the problem. They are the right wheel, it's just that Sedona isn't accurate on their offset specs. The only other option in that wheel is a 5+2 and that would make it even wider. Time will tell. We're going to the Paiute later this year, we'll see if I still fit thru the gates. I think I'll be ok.

    Did you have to do clutch work running the 29”

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před rokem

      I did not. I'm sure I lots some bottom end acceleration, but I don't drive the machine that way. I'm not concerned with my 0-60 times, so I really haven't lost any noticeable bottom end grunt the way I drive it. To me it feels exactly the same as it did running the 27's.

    Hey, totally not related to this particular video but I'm looking to get that Cam Am front Rack like you have and to mount a Rotopak like what you have. Where did you find the mount to mount to that rack? I checked with Rock Mountain ATV/MC and all they have are flat mounts and roll cage mounts. thanks

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před 2 lety +1

      I got a piece of aluminum plate and made mine. Screwed the plate to the rack.

    Did you have to change the clutches with this tire size?

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před rokem

      I did not. I'm sure I lost a little low end acceleration, but I don't really drive it that way. For our normal trail riding it just doesn't really feel much different.

    Just a question, does not pertain to the tires although they are fantastic. What are you using on your black plastic to keep it black so it does not turn that light grey or whitish looking color?

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před 2 lety

      I use 303 Aerospace. Not the "protectant" they sell in stores, but the 303 Aerospace stuff. It's pretty darn good stuff. Not too "shiny", not oily or slippery.
      It's a little spendy, but I buy it by the gallon. That'll last me several years.

    Any issue with clutching ? Reduced bottom end power ?

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před 2 lety +1

      Haven't really had a chance to find out. My guess is no. I'm not so concerned about my 0-60 times, so loss of acceleration isn't a big deal. But I'm sure that at times where using low gear was "optional" it'll be mandatory now. Time will tell. This setup really isn't very heavy, so I probably won't notice a huge difference from my 27's that I've been running. Only gained 6lbs on each corner from my last set. But again, time will tell. 👍

      Cool I will have to check in later. I’m also curious about the off camber trails and how the taller tires make it feel. Still riding the stock tires on my 2019 trail and trying to deside what size to upgrade to.

  • @smcgil05
    @smcgil05 Před 2 lety +1

    Is your shorter spare tire going to work now?

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes. If I have to use it in the rear I can unlock my rear diff. If I use it in the front I'll just go in 2WD. 👍
      Plus it'll work on my sons machine. He doesn't have the ability to unlock his rear diff, so this spare is the same as the size he's running.
