Hello, I would like to know how to separate the primary clutch from the trail 800 2017, there is a difference in the part where you fixed the tool in this video, that model does not have the holes for fixing the tool.
That would have to be a 18 trail 800 or a 17 commander but assuming it is a 18 trail 800, you separate just like you do the Defender HD 10, so watch that clutch kit video as I show you how. The short of it, is you screw in the puller to it, hold in hand over a table and hit the puller with a 2lb hammer
This video should replace the video for the Defender secondary install.
why is that?
@Hunterworks that video doesn't show in detail how to assemble the secondary like this one does. You used a strap wrench with little effort on the 3 roller defender video.
@@MrSteve8511 The issue is, this primary is different than the defender. The defender video is older than our holding tool is. If I get the defender back in or I might have Hunter edit this video and put it in that one. Thanks for the feedback
@Hunterworks thanks... question. That black line you put on the helix in this video. Was that supposed to line up with the arrows in the 2 sleeve halfs when finished?
I just installed your kit. On the secondary the 4 hole or the black line in the video will be exactly opposite the sheeve arrows when assembled.
