    reviewing you new tires while showing the ride footage was great. Good narration as always. Enjoy the ride!

    Nice tire review. I am totally new to the UTV world and got a used Polaris Ranger. Mostly thinking of utility use but the recreational use has really intrigued me the last month or so. My stock 12” tires have seen better days and starting to look at replacement options. Going to a 14” rim opens a lot of options but I don’t have a huge amount of body clearance. People tell me Why don’t you get a better machine and I say why don’t you give me $25 or $30,000 and I will.

    Really enjoyed the review on your Terrabites. I put them on my 2017 RZR 900S shortly after you put your first set on. Although you are a much more prolific rider than I am (also much younger) I have managed to put a bit over 1,500 miles on mine with zero complaints. Most of our riding is in the Eastern Sierras much like the terrain you ride in and I have had no complaints, even in the most challenging situations. Like you, I will likely buy another set of them when the time comes. We sure do enjoy your many adventures on the trails.

    Thanks for the videos. I really enjoy them. I have a 2020 Maverick Sport and I put 30 inch terabytes on a couples months back and I agree with you. Good tires, no issues. They don't do anything great but do everything well. For my style of riding they work perfectly.

    • @MyATVlife

      Perfectly said. They aren't a perfect tire, but they do everything reasonably well, and the price is right. I got 5,000 miles out of my last set, 1,000 on these so far. Money well spent in my opinion. Thanks for watching !

      @@MyATVlife may I trouble you to measure the actual height when mounted and aired up? I am due for a set of tires and on my machine I currently have 29 inchers that measure actual 28. I can't go any smaller due to how rough the terrain in my area is so I'm hoping these are at least 28 tall. Please confirm!

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před rokem +1

      If I remember right they were about 28.5 inches tall at 13 psi.

    So many questions here, Jason. I have a 2022 MT 1000. I want to change out stock wheels tires to gain ground clearance, but I want to maintain a 50" width as much as possible. My question is about wheel offset. I am looking at the Tusk Terrabite 29x9-14 tires. Hoping to get 14x7 wheels with a 6.0 + 1.0 offset. I'm not seeing any 14-inch wheels with that offset. They all are 5.0 + 2.0. If I go to 15X7 wheels, I can find the 6.0+ 1.0 offset. It sounds like you're ok with the wheels you used, even with the 5.0+2.0 offset. Is the offset the same front and back?
    Great channel. So many helpful tips for the newbies.

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před 11 měsíci

      Thank you !
      Yes, same offset front and rear. There are 6+1 offset wheels out there, but they are hard to find. Tusk makes a few wheels with a 6+1 offset. Mine is closer to a 5+2 than a 6+1 but not quite. I think a genuine 5+2 might be pushing it. Be patient, keep looking, you'll find something you like. Check RMATV for 6+1 wheels. Maybe call them. Maybe they don't list them all on their website. I've seen several guys at the meets with Tusk 6+1 wheels.

      From what I understand it's a free online course. Takes like 20 minutes. I'm still not sure how they'll know if someone has taken the course or not, especially us out of staters 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Hi good video just bought some new terabytes
    I was wondering if you could tell me what air pressure you run your tires at and in what conditions? Thanks.

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před 11 měsíci

      The set of 27's I had seemed pretty happy at 13 rear and 11 front. The 29's seem right at 12 rear and 10 front. I could get away with a little less in the rear if I didn't have so much weight on the back. The traction improved quite a bit at lower pressures so it's just finding a good balance of traction with not too much sidewall flex.

    Great information. After finding out that the wheels are closer to a 5/2 offset did you measure your overall width?

    • @MyATVlife

    I may have missed it but, what about changing axles or gears going up that big a tire? I’ve always heard you don’t wanna go higher than 28’s before you need to start changing stuff.

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před rokem +1

      Clutching is really only necessary to regain lost acceleration, and in my case I really didn't notice any loss in power and acceleration, but to be fair I don't drive my machine that way, so my 0-60 times aren't important. Tire and wheel weight have a bigger effect on clutching than tire diameter in my opinion, and this tire and wheel combo really isn't that heavy.

  • @Atvutah

      Some of the guys that are running Tusk wheels are a bit narrower than me with the same tire. I don't know which style of wheel, but I'm sure they are Tusk wheels.

    Did you have to put a lift on for you to clear the 29” tires?

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  Před rokem

      Nope. 👍
      Clears just fine, no rubbing. Front shocks preload is set to full soft and rear is up two clicks (for all of the weight in the rear), so no "lift" that way either. Plenty of room for 29's
