That’s probably because angels are already exposed to God and know his glory. If they reject God they do so knowing his glory. Humans don’t know God’s full glory. If we reject God we do so not fully understanding meaning it wouldn’t be fair to doom us when we never knew in the first place, thus allowing us forgiveness.

I hate the fact that in almost EVERY HORROR movies, they make Lucifer/Satan appear as the scary creature with horns and red eyes when in reality, dude's just a good looking Angel!
My mom told me this story when I was about 6, but she said it differently, according to her Lucifer was consumed by ego and the stench of his ego was displeasing to God, so god cast him out of heaven with his beauty and gift of music intact: I don’t remember her speaking about a war.

That's not in the bible. Lucifer is probably not reffering to Satan. Lucifer, or Helel, is another word for Venus. Isaiah was comparing the king of Babylon to the planet of Venus when he said he fell from heaven, because in its Orbit Venus appears to fall to the earth.
Satan's actual motivations for betraying God aren't so clear but we get some hints in revelations

The key line here is "the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accused them before our God day and night, has been hurled down". He isn't accusing God here, he is accusing his subordinates (the angels or humans) before God. Effectively he is trying to convince God they are sinful/evil. So Satan is a less of a megalomaniac and more of an extremely overzealous, prideful and likely hypocritical follower of God who attempted to convince him his other creations where evil and unworthy of him.

To somewhat ironically rip off the words of Al Pachino in a film in which he plays the adversary, Satan: "Free will, is like butterfly wings. Once touched, they'll never take off the ground."
