Slurry injection @ Vreba Melkvee | Challenger TerraGator TG845 | Massey Ferguson 8S.265 & 7724

Vreba Melkvee is the biggest dairy farm in the Netherlands. The farm has 2.250 dairy cows and an impressive fleet of machinery to carry out all work in the field. For slurry injection a Challenger TerraGator TG 845 CVT is being used together with a USA Equipment injector. Two combinations bring slurry to the field. A new Massey Ferguson 8S.265 and MF 7724 Dyna VT, both with 3 axle USA Equipment slurry tankers. A further MF 7718 is seen moving the slurry container from field to field.

Serious piece of machinery.
But at my first glance id put the buffer container where i could avoid having the tankers and tractors on the field to avoid unecessary compaction. The hoses looks like it will have enough reach.

Depends on traffic in the area I would assume

@@Beyonder8335 it's up to the farmer to decide. Some care more than others and it's also easier to turn around this way

I was wondering for a while now but what is the point of crab steering?

It's to lessen the soil compaction, when you crab steer the wheels don't run over the same area more than once.

Als je geen sleeps lang hebt kun je het ook niet doen. En aangezien vreba melkvee zijn eigen terra gator en transport tanks heeft is dit een logische optie

Op dit perceel had je wel capaciteit behaald maar in deze streek van Nederland is dat toch lastig ivm perceelsgrootte en vorm.
