- We are back at Dutch contracting company Ten Hove in the Middle of the Netherlands. The team has been busy during 2021 with a lot of different jobs. We catch up with new machinery and new jobs. Slurry is injected using a new combination which cosists of a VDB Slurry Swivel and Slurry Booster slurry pump. Ditches are cleaned, grassland re-sown in 1 pass and a last cut of grass is harvested. We see a new Claas Jaguar 940 and Fendt with Krone 4 rotor rake at work.
The 2022 season is upon us and we will be back soon with a new video. We will show you all the new tractors and machines that have been bought for this year!

Great videos keep them coming , why dont they use the self loading wagon to load
Good question.
wil laster bij juli komen werken als ik mijn trekker rijnen wijs heb want ik geniet van de mooie TREKKERS
Was there a pacific reason why they replaced the belt merger with a rotary rake?
that swather is fuckin wild
👍
👍💪
Kurczę ale technologia
This is an amazing and impressive video.
I just have one question.
As far as I know, the forage wagon is also able self-loading, so I'm curious why you use the forage harvester with a pickup header.
What are the pros and cons?
I only live in the city, so I want to know about agriculture.
The Claas Jaguar driving beside it chops the grass. The forage wagon would only be picking up the grass and not chopping it :)
@@plekz_ chop the grass for make fermentation easier !!
Finally i understood.
Thanks for your kind reply.
@@user-uf8yy6pc4o It is not so much to aid fermentation. A forage harvester has a finer chop compared to a wagon. Some farmers prefer this as it is easier to handle and feed to the cows. Also the forage harvester has a higher capacity. That is the main reason why it is being used here. As the silage trailers were also busy in the maize harvest the forage wagons were drafted in to do the transport.
@@Agrifotodotnl Finally, my question has been completely resolved.
Thank you for your kind and detailed explanation. Bless you!
@@user-uf8yy6pc4o If everyone was willing to learn and nice like you we'd live in a better place.
When will you upload the video covering the investments in equipment for 2022?
We have 2 machines to film yet I hope end of this month.
nice video, why dont you come visit Mulders B.V in Haaren
Een mooi bedrijf ja voor een video. Goed idee! Ik ben er jaren terug geweest toen de Big X 850 net nieuw was.
Question: Why wont you use the Pickup of the trailer to collect the gras but instead use an extra machine?
A forager chops the grass finer than a wagon does some farmers want this others don't even want knifes in them
A finer chop and higher capacity mainly.
@@TheElectricgamez @Agrifoto Ah, thanks.
I wonder why they replaced the SIP belt merger with a rotary rake
It was an expensive machine and the advantages compared to a traditional rake are limited. Customers are not willing to pay extra for this. Also it requires a highly skilled operator.
@@Agrifotodotnl
Thanks. I also decided to buy a 4 basket rake instead of a merger. It was the right decision.
@@Jonas889665 Basket rake, I have never heard that word before.
8:53 niet (handheld) bellen én zwaar materieel besturen
What do they do with the grass? J
Feed it to dairy cows.
Do you know why they dont use a SIP AIR rakes anymore?
It was an expensive machine and the customers are not prepared to pay more for it compared to a conventional rake. The difference in quality is small and it is complicated to operate.
Why are thet using a forage harvester to fill the forage wagon? Thats just double the diesel cost no? Since the forage wagon can pick up the grass itself
The forage harvester has a higher capacity and a finer chop. Some farmers prefer this over grass cut by a wagon. The wagons were behind the tractors so it was easy to use them. The silage trailers were busy in the maize harvest.
@@Agrifotodotnl but the grass was already cut. The forage harvester was just sucking the grass up, while the wagon can do that itself?
@@AverageAndy Yes, the grass is cut with a mower but it is then generally chopped either by a forager or a forage wagon in small bits of a few cm. The chopped grass is easier to mix in the ration and the cows digest it more easily. Some farmers like a very fine chop, others a bit longer.
@@Agrifotodotnl aah I see now, thanks a lot
I prefer the sound of Diesel engines over music.
The music...WTF!!!!
Wird das auch in Deutsch gesprochen?
Nein leider nicht aber mit Undertitel.
Great video.
Thanks!
