- This is a Requested Diy Video on How to make a Glam Floor Lamp! A picture of this was sent to me by 2 different people requesting that I make it. It is a Simple and Inexpensive Glam Floor Lamp using Regular items like Hoops, an Office folder and Dowels! This is an Inexpensive yet suffisticated way to Show Style and Elegance on a Budget. it is also a way to Personalize your Home Decor for Less.
It is a Budget Friendly and a Modern Home Decor That adds style and Uniqueness to the Home.
The key words"Cheap, Quick and Easy are words I keep in mind when Creating a Decor Piece for the Home.

Hi love this lamp just a tip for screwing in wood you always need to make a shallow hole where you are going to put the screw that way it will not split the wood hope this tip helps someone doing crafts x

wat's up!? How do you make the hole?
Yes. A pilot hole with a drill, the size of the shaft of the screw (not including the thread) allows only the thread of the screws to grab/dig into the timber. Otherwise the screw acts like a wedge, forcing the timber apart, splitting it.
I think she DID make a shallow hole at first.
one of my favs by far, I personally would have put a cover on the bottom to cover the rocks! I will be trying to make this ...one day!

Predrilling holes in the dowels and embroidery hoops would have prevented the wood from splitting. I got a really nice cordless drill with 50 attachments from Menards for $30. It comes in so handy for so many projects. This is once again a beautiful idea. Thank you so much for all your helpful videos.

So beautiful, I would love one of these for my living room using sapphire colored gems with clear gems and cream colored pearls and then with gold accent colors versus silver. The only thing is the bottom part tho 😐 I didn’t have an iron bender around to curl an iron rod for the base to give an oval shape as it is the only thing that would have been heavy enough to keep it sturdy on the floor ☹️. Cindy Baldinelli Well, you can make yours super easy by just buying a lot of long garland beads and cutting them to different lengths and attach them to the top for the lamp 😃. I have the link to the clear garland beads in my description box and you’re probably gonna get 3 packs of it 💕💕💕

Love this lamp. Now about the cracking of wood on Dowell if you pre drill the wholes a little smaller than your screw it won't split the wood. And clamp them so they don't shift and move while drilling which is another reason wood can split. But you did a beautiful job! I may use this idea!!! I love it!!!
