i have been looking all day for a decent price floor lamp, so i can make this lamp. I had no idea Walmart had them so inexpensive. You did a WONDERFUL; JOB THANK YOU
FYI! I purchased the feathers in 2019 (over 4 years ago), did the DIY in 2020 so its been over 4 years so unfortunately the pricing for the feathers have tripled. You will still save money with DIYing than purchasing, The Foam size is based on the lamp you choose to use, tfw Lady C 💋
For the feathers, there are videos of making them. Some with yarn, others with satin ribbon. They're called satin ribbon rayung if people want to search YT.

I'm going to be making mine a table lamp out of the feathers from the five birds that I only have amazing color to them and this is a small token of a way that I can keep a part of them forever to just bring it with lacquer for cleaning and using LED strip inside for it to be color changeable and help cut down on any fire hazard but it is amazing to see the talent and people that DIY as amazing as this beautiful woman

Thank you, I got them from the hobby lobby in the floral section and went by the measurement of my lamp not the foam....(you measure the inside of the lamp where the foam will sit..hope this helps TFW

Hi Diva & Moe, its based on the size your going for..table lamp vs floor lamp vs extra tall floor lamp....I used a 72" floor lamp so I used the largest Plumes I could find..... I would use 3 packs 10 each pack for 30 for it to be really full....but again its based on how big you want it ...the feathers can get really expensive..next time I would shop around because they are alot cheaper on etsy ! I got my first 20 sponsored thru a seller....they wouldl have been $120 so I only paid for pack of a slighty smaller size & blended in to keep cost down. you purchase to fit into your lamp..get the lamp first and then purchase the Styrofoam to fit every lamp is different

Wow, this is detailed and I ordered them in 2019 and made it a year later......I won't even attempt to know that answer of how many i
used for each size and where on the actual foam I placed them...WOW...uhmmm yea ....I just pushed them in to the foam randomly..its honestly what you saw on the video....thanks for watching and hope this helped

I dont use it anymore but yes they worked great

I used 30 extra large medium to large you need 40..but it all depends on how large you want your to be...I used a lamp that was 72" with a 9ft ceiling...TFW !

I removed the light bulb and cord and glued the foam down with a light power strip...thanks for watching and check the description box for the lighting I used...good luck with the diy!

Hello I posted this video in the summer of 2020 however I purchased the feathers on 2019..before prices ballooned and crafting was much more affordable..unfortunately you will not be able to find these large feathers at this affordable price over 4 years later post Covid. thank you for watching and commenting and Happy Holidays

Sound is hard to get just right, I already knew it was a issue and have tried to correct it I would assume you as a creator have had this problem in the past as well as many other creators...its just the very few who mention it, tfw the DIY & have a awesome day
This tutorial was exactly what I was looking for, thank you! But on the links you gave here, 50 of the smaller sized feathers are $160. Just 10 of the larger feathers is $67. How is it possible to make this lamp for anywhere even close to $53?
Hi and thanks for watching, I completely understand the price discrepancy...I purchased My feathers in December 2019/ got them in January 2020 before the price increases from the global crisis and got a few extra from Hobby Lobby. the Video was posted in July 2020 these Diy lamps became really popular in the last 2yrs (almost) since I purchased them and 15 months since posting the video.... I would recommend shopping around for a better price because prices have really jumped on the size feather I used (xtra large). it is impossible to make the lamp for the same price today as in almost 2 years ago when I first purchased my supplies. hope this explains everything and have a great day

Hi I was wondering how many feathers did you end up using in the entire lamp
I ended up using 33 but I went back in and filled in to make it more dense so 38 in all..BUT it's based on how big you want it..if it's going to be a floor lamp like mines or a table lamp..and the height...my ceiling is 9 feet tall not the standard 8ft...so that does need to be taken under consideration..good luck and thanks so much for watching💕
