  • This is a quick video to demonstrate the ITP Mud Lite tires appearance on a Polaris Sportsman for anyone considering them. I have had these tires on several different machines and have made them my go to at this point. They're a softer rubber than some and have good grab/grip. With a moderately aggressive tread. And I find the pricing appealing. They are available in many sizes and Ill include the link below for Amazon. Just make sure once you're there that you refine your search if needed. If your tire sizes differ. Thanks for watching.
    Link for the tires in the video. Be sure to confirm the size you need for your year make and model.

    Your tremendously helpful and informative! I have been using your videos as an all around Polaris sportsman reference material. Even the manual isn’t this comprehensive.

      Well thank you. I just ramble on and babble mostly trying to cover and clarify things and questions I'd have if searching for answers. And maybe fill in some gaps on stuff I was unable to find myself. Glad you've found the videos helpful.

    Nice old wheeler, I have one similar.
    Noticed the lights you put on front, is there a video on that improvement?
    I'd like to do something similar to my 02.

      Yes sir. Im a fan of this particular one. It seems to have a bit of a reputation for being a good year/model as well Ive learned over time. I do have a video regarding the lights. Here is the link

    Eric, can you tell me if you ever had an issue with your rear brake and front hand brake pushing against each other and then forcing brake fluid back out of the master cylinder on the handgrip? I have the same model and all your videos helped me restore it. This is the only problem I am currently having with this model, and I just can’t seem to get it resolved.

    • @ericinalaska7648
      @ericinalaska7648  Před rokem +1

      I have not but my first thought would be to determine if the rear brakes or all really are working. Meaning grabbing and stopping as expected. My thought is. For example. If the rear brakes aren't doing anything. Not moving or grabbing. Maybe seized up.The force of the fluid pressure has to go some where. Say you press on the pedal. Fluid not doing its job and moving the caliper or pads. That pressure has to go someplace. If that's resisting. Its gonna take the path of least resistance. Do all of your brakes function or? If they work then pos a bad master. But I would think if you had a bad master then the rest wouldn't be doing much. Hope that helps. Let me know.

      @@ericinalaska7648 I definitely will. Thank you for the quick response on this. I replaced the rear calipers so I thought there could be an issue there I’m just not seeing. Thanks again. I’ll comment back once I get this resolved.

      @@jamesgrose4819 Curious to hear what it is. I haven't had to deal with to many brake issues over the years. Pads and new master/hand lever and bleeding. So I haven't dug too deep on all the pos issues. So I'll be curious what you find.

    Hey Eric, I have a 99 Sportsman 500 and I have a problem that I'm trying to solve. Do these machines have a external oil pump? Reason I'm asking is when I start my machines it sounds like a rapping sounds coming from the bottom end of the engine. A friend of mine said it sounds like it's not getting any oil to the engine and said to that it could be and oil pump issue. There is oil in the machine

    • @ericinalaska7648
      @ericinalaska7648  Před rokem

      Did you recently change the oil? If so did you disconnect any of the supply lines? If so did you prime the pump after? If any of that is a yes. Watch my video "Polaris COMPLETE oil change and much more.DEEEP DIVE. czcams.com/video/B9KhYMiWgeY/video.html. May help. If not and there is anymore to it history or other. Let me know.

    I know that ITP have several variants of these tires . . . . Mudlite AT, Mudlite XL, Mudlite XXL, and Mudlite 2 . . . Are these the Mudlite AT 's ? They appear to be

    • @ericinalaska7648
      @ericinalaska7648  Před rokem

      I believe so. The description of the ones I ordered in my history does not indicate but I believe they are the AT's. Pos the Mudlite 2's. Machine is currently not accessible to look at. At the moment. But here is the link for the ones I ordered if you're curious. amzn.to/3JH1k86
