At the press conference he and the other guys were just very happy, very tired and drunk. That doesn't mean they were not humble. And Damiano acts like a rock star and exaggerates his manners a little bit from long time ago, not just now that he won. He was being himself and a bit drunk.
But if you listen to them in all the other interviews and press conferences, you can see that all of them are well spoken, humble and well intentioned people.

I kept thinking the same! Esp the questions about “what’s next” etc., like obviously next up is partying & sleeping for a week, let them take it in and rest?? I do get that doing the press conference right after is good because the adrenaline is still rushing and their emotions are raw but having to answer questions and do interviews after winning sounds like a punishment 😂

The drug "controversy" was so damn idiotic, i can't at how many tried to push that narrative. Tons of cameras around, his face was nowhere close enough to the table, the hands visible and up in the air (what is he, a vacuum?), not to say how the parents of another member of the group and their manager were there close to them. How dumb do they think a person can be that he would do something like that there instead of just going a sec to the toilet?? He was obviously just exulting and probably doing a story on instagram, i've seen the video somewhere on twitter.

Swedish here as well, I was so embarassed when the Swedish journalist had the audacity to ask that. Damiano even suggested being tested and they did test him and the band and they all came out as NEGATIVE. People really are jealous and it fucking shows XD.

I think it was hilarious. And i mean, everyone was talking about it.
it gave damiano a chance to say his piece on the topic. rather disrespectful to start spreadin those kinds of rumors in the first place. the journalist didnt accuse him of anything but only said whats going around online and gave damiano a chance to address this. surely it wasnt nice when it should be about celebration but they wouldve had to address it even more later on if he hadnt asked that. whoever started that rumors and fed it online is the one to blame and shame, not a journalist doing their job.

I love how relaxed and not carying they are.
They were a bit drunk because they celebrated even before winning. They were given alchohol in the green room just like other contestants received on the table. At the press conference Damiano and the other guys were just very happy, very tired. That doesn't mean they were not humble. And Damiano acts like a rock star and exaggerates his manners a little bit from a long time ago, not just now that he won. He was being himself and a bit drunk. He's different from most artists there.
But if you listen to them in all the other interviews and press conferences, you can see that all of them are well spoken, humble and well intentioned people.

It's been a very long time since a good song won the Eurovision. Very glad for Italy, it was in my top 3 favourites this year.
Italy's song was great this year but its funny you say that when in the last competition The Netherlands won with another fantastic song.
@@m7jacob702 It was indeed good and I still listen to it, but from 2019's pool, I prefered other entries more (similar to when Molitva was well sung, but Lasha Tumbai remained legendary for other reasons). This year I found the finalists quite weak overall (especially after some of the strongest contenders were eliminated in the semifinals), but this Italy entry was in my personal top 3.
Really dissapointing how they tried to ruin their victory with accusations of him snorting cocaine. I also thought the whole mood in the room was weird, very up tight. They are allowed to get drunk and act playful, they just won the biggest song competition in Europe! doesn't mean they had taken any drugs. Maybe they should have added some fans in the room too instead of just journalists to lighten the mood
