    An important step of drying the ears with a hair dryer after irrigation is often overlooked. One has to make sure the ear gets dry or else risk getting a fungal infection.Once a fungal infection takes hold then special rather potent smelling antifungal drops are needed for around 10 days. Followed by a doctor visit to make sure the fungus is gone and to scoop out any dead fungal spores.

    I get hard ear wax build up and I use debrox to soften it up. Works great. One time my ears were so cake up with wax I lost hearing and went to nurse. She had me apply debrox for four days, once per day then went i went in she used a sprayer like the one on video to rinse out. I use debrox ever six months now and after a few days of applying, once per day. I usually rinse ear in shower and i keep ears cleaned. If debrox cause pain it is usually if you have a perforated ear drum otherwise see a doctor.

      You should absolutely not use alcohol on your ear. The actual pH of your ear is slightly acidic and alcohol is fairly neutral, by comparison. Even if it happened to be a rubbing alcohol that's around 6 pH the problem is that alcohol is a solvent. Most of what you're describing could easily be explained by the alcohol. Itchy ear? Alcohol is irritating to skin and dries it out. Vertigo, though? You need to go to a doctor.

    Wow, interesting comments here! So, i did see you responded to the comment about the video from 3 years ago, at the time, this product did little besides helping lossen wax to make it easier to professionally remove it. However, this is a video for people to remove normal wax at home? You mentioned that they improved it, which is great, but any chance of doing a video like the one from 3 years ago to demonstrate that it actually removed the wax? As well, i would be interested in a home electric errigator. Understanding that professional models are both effective and very expensive, would you be willing to test the most popular electric budget minded water errigators found online, such as the KAUGIC Electric Ear Wax Removal Tool etc. Many videos on these things but impossible to know if they are effective and safe from the info given and they are not professionals. Maybe if I could handle the stuffiness, headaches, itchiness and deafness, it would clear out in a week or 2. They did say I might have an infection, it was very red inside the canal, so crossing my fingers I don't need to ruin my gut health with antibiotics. It came out of the blue like it always does....just hit me 2 days ago. Guess I'll use this as a prevention and irrigate every 3 to 6 months.

    Oddly enough, Thailand is the one of the best places to get your wax removed if you happen ton be on vacation. Surprisingly they are better than the ear doctors I've tried here in South Korea where they are brutal, and use to nothing to to loosen the hard wax that builds up. What doctors typically do have is the endoscope and a monitor so you and the doctor can actually see what they are pulling / ripping out. Since I am currently stuck in Korea I have some caster oil (?) and Debrox. I hope that works or at least makes the hard wax soft enough to remove. Unfortunately wearing hearing hearing aid actually increases the wax build up by a long shot. Every 3 months at least I have to remove gross hard wax out of my ear, just due to change in weather and having my ears plugged up with hearing aids. Doesn't allow natural decompression.

    I was going to buy this & read this on one of the reviews: ***BUT***There's only one problem with this particular product, the rubber pointer that attaches at the nozzle, shoots a direct stream of water into the ear, which is invasive and can be counterproductive.
    IDEALLY, the rubber pointed tip should have 3 holes so that it diffuses the water's entry into the ear and instead of a direct stream into the tympanic membrane (ear drum), it aims around the cerumen (wax) and dislodges it to move outward.
    ***NO***This product does not come with the most practical 3-hole rubber tips that diffuse the water best.

    • @Bluedolphin53
      @Bluedolphin53 Před 8 měsíci +2

      That might work for loose wax on the inner walls of the ear, but what if it was impacted wax? Doesn't seem like a three stream would have enough pressure.

    Why spend all this money? Go to the pharmacy, buy a 5 ml syringe (obviously without the needle, gosh, ouch!), costs £1. Jump in your lovely warm bath, squirt water in your ears until all the nasty wax comes out.
    I've used this method for years, every few months, & without problems. So easy to clean out all the gunk in your ears in 2 minutes. No need to use olive oil first.
    Squirt the warm water into your ear gently at first, gradually increasing the pressure. Stop if you have pain, duh. I use full pressure without problems.
    Really I dunno why people buy this expensive equipment, when the old syringe does a better and much quicker job? And forget the olive oil in your ear for a week, it's BS, & unless you've got granite earwax rocks, the oil is a messy waste of time.
    And unless you're a nitwit, don't use this method if you have a perforated eardrum, or a really bad infection. Go see yer Doc.

I needed surgery. The irrigation rip open my ear. now most doctors world not flush your ears here in Germany because it happen to often... I think I could sue you in cord if I where in America and you recommend that to me because you are a doctor, if something happen to me? stop recommending dangerous practicing to people, if you call yourself a doctor...

    Joined the military in 1999. At MEPS I had impacted wax, and the Dr couldnt see my eardrum to make sure it wasnt perforated. So, they put this big plastic colored paperclip on my collar which designated me a candidate for immediate earwax removal. I was shuttled to a clinic a couple towns over and they used a darned Water Pic to irrigate my ear until a gigantic cone shaped chunk of cerumen fell out into the catch basin. 😂

    Ive watched several of this guys videos about EAR wax MD ear wax removal drops so I tried it myself and for me it did not work, it turned my ear wax Into a thick goo and was impossible to remove even after 2 applications and many flushes . It plugged up my ear with no chance of draining out. I now have an appt. with a E N T . Just beware if you have thick deep ear wax , just make a dr. appt. and save yourself the pain. Im sure these videos help some people this was just my experience. Good Luck !
