I'm thinking the orb inside this weapon is one of the 'huge materia' from the original game. It looks just like a massive ball of materia to me (possibly redesigned from the original games more crystal-like appearance). In the original, the green huge materia was found when you stopped the train heading to Corel (a little north of Gongaga). I wonder if this thing is going to fly off to there, or we defeat it and then Shinra sweep in to take the huge materia (and transport it there by train). I think the context of where the huge materia really originally came from in the original game is kind of glossed over, so maybe they are giving it slightly more context and backstory here ~ created by the planet along with weapon 'guardians' to protect it.

I agree about Midgardsormr. I honestly think it being impaled won't be that big of a deal after Sephiroth flung the freakin' Shinra HQ building at us. lol I also agree it seems kinda small.
That airstrip scene with barret and red I think is on top of Junon. The air strip there has markings and is built into the top of the mountain. Also explains the scene before with barret. Behind him there’s the load of ladders. Rocket town at least in the original is very flat

Regarding that monster @23:43, It's seems identical to the one in the state of play trailer, where Tiffa is underwater and Red XIII is talking about the planets weapons. hmmmm, you need to check that out again. 🙂
It’s emerald weapon. It’s redesigned a bit - the fins look almost the same they’ll open up and have the four additional orbs in them. Its head is facing up in the trailer shot and will look much more like OG once it settles. The giant green orb is replacing the smaller red orb in the OG model. We’re just seeing the top half- no legs. They wouldn’t put a different green aquatic weapon in the game that would be stupid. It’s emerald weapon for sure.

No way dude. Emerald has those massive shoulders. They haven't really redesigned anything so far in Remake. All the bosses, enemies, and vehicles have an updated design but no structural redesign, so i dont think you have grounds to be so confident about this or say it woupd be stupid to introduce other Weapon-type enemies. If it is emerald perhaps it grows somehow and transforms.
Saw a theory going around that the weapon swallows Tifa and she ends up in that orb and deposited somewhere. Hence in the other trailer where she’s in the green liquid looking out at the thing swimming away.
The scene with Sephiroth in the green with the whispers flying around, seems very whirlwind maze to me. And the rapid winds that block your way and whatnot in the original, will probably be replaced or explained as being the whispers in the og.
Glad they bought Roche back, although I'm not sure how he gets about given that there are literally zero highways in entire world outside of Midgar, Lol.
Haha Junon Parade just makes alot of sense to me. In Crisis Core, there's a highway outside of Cosmo Canyon. The scene where Zack was driving Cloud on the Motorbike. But who knows if highways and such make it on the playable world map
@@FinalFanTV It's one of the few things that FF8 does better than FF7. They actually thought about the world infrastructure. There are roads and train stations all over the place.

@@FinalFanTV Hmmm maybe that we don't see the party menu when we see Cloud fighting the Zolom, which might mean that it is late in the game rather when we first encounter it. Otherwise, it is hard to compete with the eyes of a hawk and knowledge of Solomon.
After Rebirth comes out you should make a video comparing all your predictions that turned out to be true with the ones that didn't. On a separate note, I don't know why but I got two podcasts updates today, but they were the november and december episodes. Why does it take so long for new episodes to show up?

Its just fun to speculate!
Love the breakdown! I also want to add that in Remake (Chapter 2) Cloud was on the ground crawling towards his Nibelheim home, so him being on the ground in that Nibelheim scene is consistent with that as well. Your idea about the Midgar Zolom always made sense to me. We barely get through the boss fight, which could be a skill check for the game, then we see a Zolom 5x the size killed by Sephiroth, it would be a great way to show his power. Now time for my own wacky theory! Everyone is talking about Cloud screaming Tifa, which I agree is spectacular. But I also want to bring up about another Cloud scream in this trailer nobody seems to be talking about: in the final scene of the trailer with Cloud jumping at Sephiroth (the CGI cutscene from the end of Remake) they added in the faintest audio of Cloud yelling wildly and/or in horrible pain. It is reminiscent of his wild scream in Chapter 17 where he attacks Sephiroth in front of Jenova, but this one here is different. It wasn't there in the same scene of the TGS trailer (and wasn't there in the Remake scene), so it makes me extremely interested and worried where the audio is from. In a 1 minute trailer composed with the utmost care, everything in it has a purpose. You don't add in audio of Cloud screaming like that unless it is from somewhere important. It could be after he thinks he lost Tifa or his mother being killed, but I personally think it's after Aerith is stabbed.
I had the same right about the scream, however, it would be even more wild is cloud sees aertih as sephirtoh and kills aerith. Super wild. I’m just not sure who they can make her death have the same impact. I mean 98% of ppl know she dies.
They really should of added characters, events etc. that nicely fit in amongst original without changing original at all. Original had plenty to recreate to fit nowadays while keeping true to said original. There is too much set in stone tried & trued to construe different.
I agree and will always feel this way.. That's the kind of Remake I wanted/begged for. Even with the new modernized gameplay! But I've come to terms with it and opened myself up to what they're trying to do with this new story.

My New theory is that Sephiroth brought the party into the Beagle verse at the end of remake. When they end up at the all white place that is destroyed by meteor before sephiroth sucks it up. Those red tornadoes are meteor related always. When they passed through the singularity they temporarily went to that universe and the threat of Meteor destroyed a ton of midgar killing avalanche
Sephiroth is really messing with Cloud in this trilogy in Sephiroth's illusion realm, he wants to isolate Cloud from everything he cherishes to give him despair, breaking him to the point that puppet Cloud completes his reunion with Sephiroth so he is reborn.
I love how everyone keeps saying “not super spoilery” I’m gonna laugh if the ending really is super meta, and all the scenes that look to be depicting the end of Remake are actually the end of Rebirth lol. I hope not.
That scene of Sephiroth that I pointed out where he looks to be at The Edge of Creation again but this time it's fractured with floating rocks, I think that's actually endgame footage.. but it's brief haha

But… my wild speculation is that maybe we somehow revisit the Remake ending in some way towards the end of Rebirth… but what you said about that being part of the opening cinematic sounds pretty legit too, I’d rather it be the beginning lol. Fighting a full form of Jenova for the boss would be pretty interesting! Not a bad idea.
Using the zolom to showcase Sephs Str now doesn’t make much senses. But of course most of what is in the originals will be in the trilogy. Some things are just to iconic not to include. The dead zolom was like dread down your spine in the OG, for that reason alone it’s a must have for rebirth
right off the bat you're forgetting that at this point in the story cloud believes he was in zack's place in nibelheim. the revelation that he never made soldier is waaaaay off, so he wouldn't be in his shinra uniform, he'd be dressed like zack. mt nibel isn't right next to nibelheim in this game, it's just really big. it's a mountain after all. one thing i'm glad about with rebirth is that they seem to be addressing that sephiroth killed cloud's mother, something completely glossed over in the original for some reason. tifa's dad being killed was a huuuuuge deal for her, and all we get from cloud when his mum dies is a little shake of the head. it's never referenced in dialogue. oh and re: pupils, the word you're looking for is "dilating" :) and sephiroth gets the slit cat-like pupils, not cloud.
Great video. I really believe they're borrowing a part of FF9's story, with the coming together of the two worlds, Terra and Gaia. Swphiroth is trying to do something similar to Garland; smash the two worlds together.
I don't think we get rocket town this game. I feel like they are filling a hole with the Og and letting us build a relationship with Cid. So its more reasonable he joins us after we steal his toy and break it lol. Same reason why Yuffie got an entire dlc with her in Midgar. So its not weird that she is in a random bush (pixelated forest).
Outside of Seventh Heaven, at the start of Intermission, Tifa talks about how they lost Cloud. Barrett adds that he fell and something about him not being able to walk. This could very well be the cloud we see in the wheelchair. It doesn't make sense to me why even bother with a second time line... does this really help tell the story more?
Devs have stated Sephiroth is the greatest villain in the ff7 story. In OG Hojo states Sephiroth's will uses Jenova for his own purpose. I understand the debate and nuance of it but the simple explanation is that Sephiroth is actually in control for the purposes of the story. Taking his agency away diminishes his villainy.
In the video, I was suggesting that Sephiroth wants to bring back Jenova. Maybe it's his own will to want to but yeah, definitely not suggesting Sephiroth be outclassed as a villain and DEFINITELY not suggesting a redemption arc - Please, no... haha
the 18 chapter vid was your best imo :) facial expressions look a little bit strange in this game? is it just me? do they use ai now? i didnt notice it in remake. rufus with the cannon shot was strange with his mouth and in this trailer it was again on cloud...its nitpicking i know. love the rest of the trailers. dont think we would need all this timeline stuff but its ok :)
Glad you liked the 18 Chapter video! That was alot of editing and time but it was fun! The facial expressions haven't stood out in that kind of way to me. So that's a good thing for me! Just try and keep in mind, AI, is not always a bad word. AI has been used in the past as a great tool to help the development process such as simulating mouth flaps. It's when AI plagiarizes and takes away jobs that it is seen in a negative light. But with all that said, I don't think Ai is being used in cutscenes, most likely for sidequest chats.
Why would the Dev's put the Midgar Zolom in the game much less in the same way as the original game?? The Midgar Zolom was a tool in the OF to highlight to the player the gap between the party and Sephiroth, which worked because we hadn't fought him yet. Now that I have whooped his booty already this boss has no impact. What is it doing here? Why am I wasting my time while my target gets further away?
There no clear indication when the Midgar Zolom fight is occurring in trailer. The fight we see may be later on in the game and not at that point where we see Sephiroth’s aftermath.
Yall care too much about this wierdiest things lol. I for one want to beat the stuffing out of the midgar zolom.... there are other ways to show sephiroths power in the game lol
We didn’t “whoop his ass” at the end of Remake. He was toying with us. We lost that fight. This is just emphasizing that. Plus, it happened within the Singularity, where time doesn’t work the same. The characters were probably accessing strength from the future that didn’t stay with them when they left.

These remakes do not need to cross every “T” and dot every “i” and need to be a copy and paste of the original. I am open to Square Enix choosing to tell the story how they wish to tell it as long as it is recognizable to the original in most ways, which it is.
I'm just hoping the last 3rd of this game is actually good. Everybody worrying about Sephiroths clone killing a midgar zolum are worried about the wrong stuff lol.

I keep wondering if Cloud or anyone can see the whispers anymore.
Sephiroth is really messing with Cloud in this trilogy in Sephiroth's illusion realm, he wants to isolate Cloud from everything he cherishes to give him despair, breaking him to the point that puppet Cloud completes his reunion with Sephiroth so he is reborn.
do people forget about the 1st game where we had tifa and aerith or barrett solo
Does it seems like the whole party is there at mt Nibel’s reactor in front of Sephiroth ? (The part where Cloud’s eyes shows he’s scared)

That scene of Sephiroth that I pointed out where he looks to be at The Edge of Creation again but this time it's fractured with floating rocks, I think that's actually endgame footage.. but it's brief haha
@@FinalFanTV yes, I agree. But… my wild speculation is that maybe we somehow revisit the Remake ending in some way towards the end of Rebirth… but what you said about that being part of the opening cinematic sounds pretty legit too, I’d rather it be the beginning lol.
Fighting a full form of Jenova for the boss would be pretty interesting! Not a bad idea.
Using the zolom to showcase Sephs Str now doesn’t make much senses.
But of course most of what is in the originals will be in the trilogy.
Some things are just to iconic not to include.
The dead zolom was like dread down your spine in the OG, for that reason alone it’s a must have for rebirth
Also, the part with Hojo could be the Nibelheim incident explained or revived by Zack. Maybe he’s telling or remembering this episode too…
right off the bat you're forgetting that at this point in the story cloud believes he was in zack's place in nibelheim. the revelation that he never made soldier is waaaaay off, so he wouldn't be in his shinra uniform, he'd be dressed like zack. mt nibel isn't right next to nibelheim in this game, it's just really big. it's a mountain after all. one thing i'm glad about with rebirth is that they seem to be addressing that sephiroth killed cloud's mother, something completely glossed over in the original for some reason. tifa's dad being killed was a huuuuuge deal for her, and all we get from cloud when his mum dies is a little shake of the head. it's never referenced in dialogue.
oh and re: pupils, the word you're looking for is "dilating" :) and sephiroth gets the slit cat-like pupils, not cloud.
Great video. I really believe they're borrowing a part of FF9's story, with the coming together of the two worlds, Terra and Gaia. Swphiroth is trying to do something similar to Garland; smash the two worlds together.

I don't think we get rocket town this game. I feel like they are filling a hole with the Og and letting us build a relationship with Cid. So its more reasonable he joins us after we steal his toy and break it lol. Same reason why Yuffie got an entire dlc with her in Midgar. So its not weird that she is in a random bush (pixelated forest).

Outside of Seventh Heaven, at the start of Intermission, Tifa talks about how they lost Cloud. Barrett adds that he fell and something about him not being able to walk. This could very well be the cloud we see in the wheelchair. It doesn't make sense to me why even bother with a second time line... does this really help tell the story more?

Jenova is the true villain in FF7s story. i would die if the last boss of Part 3 is Jenova...
Devs have stated Sephiroth is the greatest villain in the ff7 story. In OG Hojo states Sephiroth's will uses Jenova for his own purpose. I understand the debate and nuance of it but the simple explanation is that Sephiroth is actually in control for the purposes of the story. Taking his agency away diminishes his villainy.
In the video, I was suggesting that Sephiroth wants to bring back Jenova. Maybe it's his own will to want to but yeah, definitely not suggesting Sephiroth be outclassed as a villain and DEFINITELY not suggesting a redemption arc - Please, no... haha

the 18 chapter vid was your best imo :) facial expressions look a little bit strange in this game? is it just me? do they use ai now? i didnt notice it in remake. rufus with the cannon shot was strange with his mouth and in this trailer it was again on cloud...its nitpicking i know. love the rest of the trailers. dont think we would need all this timeline stuff but its ok :)

The facial expressions haven't stood out in that kind of way to me. So that's a good thing for me! Just try and keep in mind, AI, is not always a bad word. AI has been used in the past as a great tool to help the development process such as simulating mouth flaps. It's when AI plagiarizes and takes away jobs that it is seen in a negative light. But with all that said, I don't think Ai is being used in cutscenes, most likely for sidequest chats.

Why would the Dev's put the Midgar Zolom in the game much less in the same way as the original game?? The Midgar Zolom was a tool in the OF to highlight to the player the gap between the party and Sephiroth, which worked because we hadn't fought him yet. Now that I have whooped his booty already this boss has no impact. What is it doing here? Why am I wasting my time while my target gets further away?
There no clear indication when the Midgar Zolom fight is occurring in trailer. The fight we see may be later on in the game and not at that point where we see Sephiroth’s aftermath.
Yall care too much about this wierdiest things lol. I for one want to beat the stuffing out of the midgar zolom.... there are other ways to show sephiroths power in the game lol
We didn’t “whoop his ass” at the end of Remake. He was toying with us. We lost that fight. This is just emphasizing that. Plus, it happened within the Singularity, where time doesn’t work the same. The characters were probably accessing strength from the future that didn’t stay with them when they left.
@@NastyNate91 I agree. Some people love nitpicking every little detail. Remake was a amazing and Rebirth will be amazing x2. These remakes do not need to cross every “T” and dot every “i” and need to be a copy and paste of the original. I am open to Square Enix choosing to tell the story how they wish to tell it as long as it is recognizable to the original in most ways, which it is.
I'm just hoping the last 3rd of this game is actually good. Everybody worrying about Sephiroths clone killing a midgar zolum are worried about the wrong stuff lol.
No body has mentioned how the other characters look like AI in this scene 16:08 no facial expression accept for Cloud.
My belief is that Zack is a type of summon/fayeth severed from another timeline to heal this one and to carry Aerith to the end.

Let's be real, if we start this game and the explanation for why your levels, materia and equipment doesn't carry over is _not_ because Yuffie yoinks all your stuff in a spectacular fashion...there's going to be a riot. Just saying.
