First thing you'll want to do is measure out and adjust where the tail clip will sit for your board. It's easiest to do this before peeling off the plastic from the glue.
After your tail clip is adjusted, remove the plastic from the glue.
Adhere the skin to your ski making sure to align the skin with the inside edge of the board.
Use your skin cutting tool to remove the excess amount of skin from the outer edge of the board. Use the snowboard edge as a guide and keep pressure against it with the tool. Only work with the grain in the easy direction of the skin. This will be from nose to tail.
If you do not have a skin cutting tool you can use a flat razor blade. Use the snowboard edge as a guide and run the blade down the length of the board, removing the excess skin material. This will be a similar process to griping a skateboard if you are familiar.

Hi! Aren't the edges NOT supposed to be covered by the skins?

Yup, you want your edges to be visible. It might be hard to see in this video, but before cutting you align the skin so the edge is showing. Using a skin cutting tool allows for the proper amount to be cut away from the edge as well

@@SearchofSnowboarding Alright thanks! Also I bought a pair of G3 LT and they don't cover the whole surface of the board. They're supposed to be skins for boards up to 172 and my board is a 162. Yet the tail is not totally covered, is that normal? There's 20 centimeters between the end of the skin and the bottom edge of the board.

@@poulatak That's ok, and you won't have an issue. It's like that because that model of skins has too large of a size range for boards for a given skin size.
