    Does the rotors have to have holes? Or can I use rotors without holes?

    • @mickaeldavid1304
      @mickaeldavid1304 Před 5 lety

      It is not compulsory for you to have holes providing the model fits your car

    • @amjadkhan-jv6xj
      @amjadkhan-jv6xj Před 4 lety

      Drilled discs give you better breaking as holes cool them down when intense breaking but they do cost more, its your choice which discs you prefer.

    • @ryanfree9861
      @ryanfree9861 Před 4 lety

      Drilled rotors actually decrease braking except in extreme circumstances where overheating can be an issue. Most put them on because they look cooler

      I know this thread is old but I'll just put it here; There is a difference between cars with AMG sport-package and without; The car on the video comes with AMG sport-package and thus has drilled discs. You should always double-check if parts fit your car before purchase. Note: the performance of brake discs is not defined by its visuals; different brakes with different properties give different results in pair with different brake pads!

    I just bought a C300 and I didn’t notice the brake pulsation until I apply at 60mph and above. I checked the brake pads they look like new. Should I be fine just replacing the rotors?

      @@christophercolumbus8944 Hi, I still have the car. It’s been very good basic maintenance. I ended up replacing the front rotors and sanding down the break pads since they where factory pads like new. Haven’t had problems since. I have almost 100k miles on her, put 20k on the car so far.
      I replaced the shocks all the way around and upper control arms. Used bilstien shocks with Sachs strut hats. No check engine lights…. Very good car IMO.
      Mine is the automatic, make sure you buy one that has had the service done. Should be done every 40k miles. This car was a 1 owner with all services done thru Mercedes. Bought from a 3rd party dealer.

    the wheel has a nasty "curb rash" or a heavier term word for damage.. If I'm buying this car and I see this wheel, as it is, I will doubt to buy the car for a damaged wheel---shouldn't be a deal-breaker. Wheels with such damage can be repaired/restored IF THEY AREN'T BENT. Perhaps the spare wheel is also a beautiful MB wheel the same
