First Ride on KTM SX 125 - It's WILD!

- The most fun dirt bike I think I've ever ridden! I had my first ride on a 2020 KTM SX 125 2 stroke trying some enduro in the woods and on the hills. This bike is wild and I fell in love with it the moment I started it (Kick start not electric start) I Laughed and smiled the whole time. I'm seriously thinking about buying one. It's a fun 2 stroke to ride for sure and I can't believe I've waited this long to have my first ride on one. Although it is a motocross bike it's still fun in the woods. They take some practice and getting use to but I'd love to learn more. What do you think? Shall I buy one?

You ride better and faster on that 125 than your 300.
Its much lighter

Finally found the power band
6:17 yesssss!
You look like a whole different person on the 125. Brought back the younger years. Please get one. We want smaller! 😂
Yes do it!!! I just switched from a 4 stroke to a KTM 85 sx and I can’t help but smile every time I ride that bike. The feeling of the power bands kicking in is like WOOOOO!
This is honestly one of the most fun channel I've subscribed on CZcams
Glad you like it
I loved my sx125, i found a lectron carb with a pro circuit pipe and v force reeds really gave the bike alot more low end, definitely one of the most fun dirtbikes ive owned!
Loving the content from both you and Marsh MX. Your videos are the closest thing I'll get to riding enduro and bring so much smiles. Thank you for making these videos, you're helping people with mental health by creating such awsome content... thank you guys 🤘
I do hope you get or have a bike, maybe a experience day to start. Good luck pal n hope to hear you are doing it Jarvis style
I have a 125 and it is so much fun has nice power ypi should definitely look into getting one
They have a 150 tho
@@relish9452 yea but some people don’t have that mich money for brand new 150…
You gotta love the power band once that baby kicks in it’s like a dream come true
I used to race Enduro using a 125SX and everyone kept telling me to buy a larger enduro based bike but after trying other bikes they suggested I was always faster and far more comfortable on the 125. During Hare and Hounds events where you're racing for 4 plus hours I would quite often be faster and more consistent on my little 125 than others on their 250's and even 450's. I'm not sure that it was necessarily the weight difference but perhaps the fact that I was able to ride the bike closer to it's limit than I would ever on a larger bike. I think the only time I would have preferred more power would be on some of the longer technical hill climb sections, but even then as long as I chose a viable route and kept the revs in the right spot it wasn't usually a problem. A friend of mine who I used to ride with, who was one of the best riders I'd ever met and represented the Army in Enduro racing, claimed that his 150sx was the best enduro bike he'd ever ridden, having the best balance of weight and power. If I ever get back into Enduro I would buy another 2 stroke 125 in a heartbeat.
Loved the video! Are you based in the UK?
As soon as you got on the 125 instantly a professional mx / enduro rider !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love it, The sound of PURE shock and surprise in Marsh's voice ha ha ha.
No what’s wild is how clear the picture is with your camera. Looks like I’m right there with you. That’s sick.
I ride an rm125 and with just a few mods they can do super well in low speed stuff as well. Mine is geared down a lot but any lower gearing will make a big difference. A flywheel weight makes clutch control much easier and smoother in some situations, and I would recommend. Aside from that a 125 is just about the most fun and challenging bike you can ride, and it will let you know what mistakes you make while riding and force you to improve. I'd love to see more videos of you on one, just watching this gave me the itch to go ride mine!
Yeah a motocross gearing has a much taller 1st gear, been doing more trail riding and in the Colorado Rockies, threw a 51 tooth on the rear and it’s been great. There’s situations where is it less than ideal but it makes you a better rider. The 125 makes you work for it but is so satisfying when you execute properly
i have rm 125cc too i ride woods i just switched to a 52 tooth on the rear over stock (12/51)what gearing do you run?
@@basedlord88 my rm 125cc 2008 comes stock with 12/51 .
I rode a 150 yesterday... and they are amazing! Super fun bike!
You should get a 125 you seem to have so much fun and I’d love to see it. Keep up the great content!
Ive got a 65sx and it still fits my needs to just have fun. But i have ALWAYS loved the sound, its just irreplaceable.
Yesss! I loved my ktm 125 when I had one! Buy one, they are the most fun you can have on a bike!
yes you need to get a 125 pls
125’s are so light and so much fun. When they’re on the pipe they’re magical.
I had a 150 an it’s one of the best bikes I’ve ever owned 👍
How’s the reliability? Think of getting a two stroke (yz125)
I’m from South Wales Newport I’ve watched your videos for just over a year, I started riding a year ago I’m only 13, I have a 250 but practiced on a 300 you inspired me to start riding thank you 🙏
There is a video of the 300 on my channel I think
Time to get a 125 baby. Great video my man 🤙
This video was really good and entertaining thanks keep it up
Yeah love the 2 stroke 125 🤘🏻
Nice to see some different perspectives 👍👍
MidWest you gotta stop doing this to me your old videos convinced me to get a 250f in a couple of months but now after this one I have no clue😂😂. Keep it up man vids are amazing
That 125 brought out the beast in you. Mad skills bro
You did so well on it. Could be a fun bike and easy to push back if it goes down.
Get one mate ! I'm 41 and I hav a 150 sx they are great fun
Great job on track
My son is 16 and I got him a 03 125sx and he loves it we ride hatefield and McCoy trails wv as we live there and he just loves this bike in the woods!!!!!!
yes you should when i watched this video it made my day better
Aye nice man, made my day to see you upload 😎
Those 125 sound soo good in the woods!!!
First time I've ever seen 0 dislikes on a video!! Keep up the good content!
I’ve got a 2010 sx 125 and I’ve never had so much fun on a bike it’s crazy!
I was literally going to get a 1999 road legal sx 125 2 days ago but didn't because it needed too much work. I ended up buying a 2004 Dtr 125 with a fresh 170 athena kit fitted today and im currently in the middle of trying to find a yz 250 front end to fit too it. Can't wait to go exploring the woods and mountains of Gwent and my local green lane strata florida🥴
Aye man I can’t wait for your next vids keep it up bro 🤙
2 strokes are still and will forever be King!!!!
The 125 are so cool, I want one ☝️
Get a 125 it’s what I just got u just have to keep it in the power all the time even if ur going slow and the wheels spinning a bit just keep the revs up.
U look like ur having a lot of fun, it is a fun bike get one it’ll be a good addition to the channel
Hell yeah you should get a 125 or a 150! It would be so much fun to watch.
I genuinely had a smile on my face this whole video!
If you like this get the Yamaha YZ250X!!! It will rip just like this bike BUT actually has a half way decent power curve for the woods/technical single track when you need it
We don’t have the x Models here in Europe
125's will always be the most fun bikes. I ride a cr125 for enduro/single track
So badly want to join the crew 😬 on our way down in july for the week. Hope to see you around.
Binging your vidz and loving them 🤘🏻👌🏻👍🏻
And he finds the power band!!!🤙🤙🤙🤙
Love the vids
I had a 94 honda xr100 bored to a 110 and that thing was fun. Top end was about 55 but thats all you really need on the logging roads
Watching this was like bumping in to an old girlfriend you still have the hots for ! My 02 Husky wr125 was the best enduro bike I ever had ! Great videos bro 🙌🏻
He sounded so relaxed and fresh on the exc, he was out of breath before he started the sx 😂
Saw this on Marsh's channel. Now you are going to have to get one!
Yes 125 beast have a 2001 cr125 myself so fun
yeah definitely get one i’d say!
nice vid bro love it: )
YES GET ONE
You look like you've found your spirit animal with that 125 mate
You should get one of these for track days ! You ride this bike far better then your four strokes
I also have a 2020 125sx. Theyre pretty wild
Yessss!
U should definitely get a 125, any brand of a 125 are good and I would love to see you on one
I have a YZ 125 and I love it
It’s more fun to ride a smaller cc bike hard than a larger cc bike easy on the throttle.
You should try a 150xcw, better tuned to single track. The SX is not designed for this but you still had a blast.
yes, get a 150 tho, EXC-W best bike you'll own it's so fun to mess about on and will build confidence because you need to be on the revs more for power, its also more manageable...
Get the xc model it’ll probably be a little bit more of a woods bike
Plus e start
YZ250X
That is the xc model
It has an enduro tank
@@chrisswart1960 dude he literally said it was a sx model

Get one pal I ride 150 sx love it 👍
Ye it sounds sick in vids

I ride an old rm125 on enduro all you got to do his use lots of clutch and pop it when your down low and want powerband
Yes sir 124 2 stroke baby
I rode a 150sx today and it was the craziest thing I’ve ever ridden
Ah now to enjoy my Sunday mornin with sum MWMX💥🤘🏻🤘🏻
Its evening already
yes you should get one great bike
Loving it 😜👏🙌
More fun screaming a small bike riding the wheels off it , yet go up 250 450 there taking you for a ride .. love how you've come on brother made me smile seeing you on the 125 ....
Very nice and fun video
I have 2007 ktm 125 exc that I love it is soooooo good
Just wish I could have one your so lucky
The rare sight of seeing midwest mx using the powerband of a 2 stroke
I have been thinking for a while to get a 125, to ride tighter stuff, for less weight and also good for working on slow skills.
125 is the best dirt bike that money buys you can do everthing
I personally own a 2002 kx250 2t and love it but then I rode my friends 01 cr125 and I almost love it more
@@sweetwolfasmraudio6726 love power but so much fun i olso have a cr 250
Its Like you can do anythink on 125 but it May be harder from my personal experience i think i get to less problem with that less power on low end if it makes sense.
everything except go fast lmao
@@davidmatal9132 yes true 250 is easyer to ride but im tolki g the fun factor its way to fun 125 ☺️
You looked super comfortable on the 125 🤙🤙🤙
You might need enduro 125 😁😁😁
I love my rm 125 wot 2 stroke for life
Get one bro I’ve never seen you ride like that before and I think it would be good for you
Seems as though it's been decided, your loyal flock agrees you need a 125. I also have a KTM 300 and will be adding the 125XC when I can find one. Personally I'm wanting the small bore because its flickable and throttle control is easier, just wring it's neck out all the time.
You need to ride it on an outdoor motocross track that is set up for 125's and 250's, then you will see how much fun it really is to just run it WFO for the entire lap. Those little screamer bikes are made to run wide open, not in the woods, so they are best on an mx track.
Yes man get the 125
yes get one
Yes. Lol 125 gang. Used to Own a 125.Kx💪brought an 85yz😎
Yes buy one
I know what you mean about stalling the bike a lot. I ride an older 06 kx450 in the woods. And I'm still mostly at beginner level too lol. Tell Robs nephew to get a flywheel weight on it to help with the bottom end.
