I have always used dehydrated Chickpeas in the past as (I thought) that was the easiest way of colouring and flavouring them. I'll be definitely giving this a go once the river reopens

If you fish the back pool fish close in especially in the afternoons the carp come in right close and they love the chick peas😊😊😊😊
@cookiesfishingcapers9299 amazing I've just seen your reply. Would you believe it I've knocked two tins up, and by pure chance they are paprika and curry 😅🙌🏼 I'll report back and let you know.
Also I've found an amazing hack. After peeling a full tin of peas. I thought there has to be an easier way... after some research try this and thank me later. 2 teaspoons of baking soda. Mix onto the drained and rinsed tin of peas really mix it in to coat the peas. The alkaline in the soda basically disintegrates the skin. Now place in microwave for 1.5/2 mins to heat up. Now place peas into big bowl and run cold water over. Vigorously rub the peas between the palms of your hands, handful at a time and repeat. Watch those skins just glide off. I had a full tin de- skinned in about 1 minute. Then followed your process. They turned out just the same in a fraction of the time. Hook on hair lovely and smell delicious. Hope this helps 😊

If you keep them in a cool place should last 3 days or so.
I haven't frozen them before not sure how the chick peas would react once they were thawed out..
It might soften them.
I will do a video and freeze them and find out..

Hi cookie. How's you doing. Just asking as your the chick pea king. Is it ok to roast them dried chickpeas and then use as bait.are they ok for fishes digestive system. Cheers

I have oven cooked them in the past for a short time.
One of my previous videos before I started micro waving them goes through the process.
As for the digestive side of things from the mess they've left on my cradle and fish mats in the past definitely no problems there.
The chick peas even after microwaving are still soft enough to digest 😀😀👍

The other way you can do it is by oven...
I do have a video that I made last year..
The video will show me holding two flavoured bags of chick peas in my hand that I oven baked.. 👍
Soak raw chick pea 24 hrs cook for 25 min let it coolant you ready to go add what you want after you strain water ... look on CZcams how to prepare chick peas all in that video
