I'm not sure why muni is so unrecognized. The skill is so high yet the top performers have barely any recognition. Must be a lot of people don't even know it exists. Great riding, that sky was breath taking!
Yeah hoping to get some more videos out there so the sport can get a slight bit more exposure! & all the drone shots were from Emmett and Brandon - I agree they turned out phenomenal ((:
Thanks! I ride a 27.5 just because there are more tire options available. I can't really tell a huge difference between it and a 26 but there's not many wide tires out there anymore. A 29 feels just a bit too fast for my taste. Do you ride muni too?
Some people raise it when they climb and lower while descend. I just keep it at the same height the whole time though since I don’t do much climbing and don’t like the hassle
hey peter! I run a 27.5 rim but people in the video had everything ranging from Nils doing stylish jumpy street looking lines with his 24 to some people crushing it with speed in their 29s. for cranks I've always had 150s but just recently switched to 137mm, not for any performance reasons I just changed hubs and those were the only ones I had lying around with a disc brake mount on them. so to answer your last question I just got a hub without the disc brake mount on it. Do you do much muni? What's your setup looking like?
@@OwenFarmerUnicyclist I was riding MUNI on my old Schwinn 24" back in 1974. I used to take bets on wheather or not I could clear serious trials descents with No Brake That's when I managed to get skid control on wet surfaces. As you know it's the slow stuff that tests the skills. So I will take a hint and make the 137mm my crank of choice. I was a unicycle instructor at a circus performing arts camp for 4 years. Now at 63 I do not cherish the thought of testing my falling skills but they do need polish. So it's off to a grassy knoll to take a few abrupt tumbles on the forgiving turf. I have broken both arms pushing the envelope but that only happens when in the groove and the centripetal and centrifugal axis are balanced with the plane of inertia. I need a dedicated ATU if I'm going to do much single track scampering. Having my brake lever mounted on a custom wrist brace will free both hands for balance and counter balance. So if you steal that idea and make a million you will owe me 15k or something not good will happen to you.

Great footage and well put together with the soundtrack. Good job.
This is amazing, an extreme demostration of equilibrium.
Awesome vid! I rode muni in Fruita for several days right after the 2019 NAUCC in Fort Collins. Lovely set of trails.
Awesome! Hope we can make another ride out there someday soon - also loved riding there
Fantastic job Owen! These are some skilled riders! Great job filming and editing bro! Makes me want to Muni right now!
great video owen!
Damnitboy! We used to do that kind of stuff when i was younger. I'd bust my ass these days!
😂😂😂
Nice Mesa biome
its sad that theres so many small unicycle channels even though there so good.
Cool!
That was a fun weekend! Nice work putting this together! Let's do it soon again! :)
Definitely! thanks (: it was a lot of fun going through everyone's phenomenal footage
Love the video, everyone’s so skilled and it looks like a blast. I was wondering what size wheel do you prefer for muni?

HOW in the world does this have 21 views??? AWESOME video!
Thanks!! Loving your channels content as well ((:
Stay the trail!!!
we were on the trail! & took special precaution not to step on the crypto soil
Just got into this.
I’d be wearing knight armor if I did this!
When u mountain unicycle do you have to lower your seat a bit?
Some people raise it when they climb and lower while descend. I just keep it at the same height the whole time though since I don’t do much climbing and don’t like the hassle
Is there a system that prevents falling forward and backward?
Most of the people in the video have brakes which can help slow down the wheel to get it back under you - otherwise the rest is up to balance
26" or 24" wheels? Crank length? Disk brake hub?
