    I do have a question, you mentioned that the stock phone has the waterproof/dust seal so you have to go around it to cut it out. I didn’t see you install a new adhesive seal. Im guessing that means not the phone is no longer waterproof/dust proof. How would you add a new adhesive so that it is?

    2 things.
    1. You didn’t replace the display adhesive so the phone is no longer water resistant
    2. After working at an AASP the screens Apple ships directly have a new speaker and sensor preinstalled. I never understand that because it would save cost to just transfer them to the new screen

Remind your viewers to make sure to thuk the knife below flex cable not between flex and speaker; it’s not obvious that there is a flex cable under the speaker...

    • @The_HouStoner
      @The_HouStoner Před rokem

      anyone doing this should use a thin prying tool similar to the one he's using. A knife should not be anywhere near an open electronic device for several obvious reasons. Keep learning and always make sure to learn from any mistakes. wish you continued success.

    My only bicker is let people know ahead of time that the screwdrivers are magnetic. I couldn’t even feel the screwdriver pulling out a screw as there is nearly 0 resistance When I took out the first screw it was so tiny it looked like a scraped off people of metal. Like a tiny scrape off the frame. It was so tiny I couldn’t even tell it was a screw. It’s long gone. I lost 1 of the screws for the main bracket over the battery so I hope it’s not a big deal but mayb explain your videos as if you’re teaching a 5 year old. Better to over explain. Because I bet many people will be like me. Intimidated So overexplain even if you’re repeating yourself or stating what appears to be “obvious”. It would have helped me not lose 1 screw. Overall I’m grateful for your video. My $64 replacement screen saved money and I wasn’t even curious how much a phone shop would have stole from me as they ALWAYS charge WAY more than us fair.
