Carefully stripping down the front end on my DIY Porsche 924 restoration project. All parts are bagged and tagged. Fenders gave me a lot of trouble as they were seam sealed with a thick bead. Plus, previous owner botched a few repairs and made it worse. In the next one I'm strippiung the rest off.

Well done getting those wings off. Do you have much rust at the bottom of the wings and ends of the footwells? I’ll need to repair mine. Remember “it has to look worse before it looks better!”
Thanks, Chris! Yeah, bottom of the wings got some rust.... Footwell ends look OK. Lip that goes over sill is pretty rusted and badly repaired previously. Whole sill and middle jacking point are bad on both sides, even inner sill. Never done any welding.... Both excited and nervous to tackle that.
Welding takes a bit of practice, but it’s fairly easy. The thinner the steel the trickier it is. Loads of mig welding tutorials on you tube :)
@@chrismadge7292 Yeah, I've been watching a lot of tutorials...to prepare myself, theoretically for now :) I guess its practice, like everything else.
