The TopN function in Power BI allows you to filter a visual by showing only the top or bottom N items based on a selected measure. This can be useful for quickly identifying the best or worst performers in a dataset.
The TOPN function in Power BI DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) is used to return a table of the top N rows from a table or expression, based on a specified sort column and order.
The syntax for the TOPN function is: TOPN (N, table, [sortColumn], [sortOrder])
    where:
    * N: an integer value specifying the number of rows to return.
    * table: a table or expression to evaluate.
    * sortColumn (optional): the column to use for sorting the table or expression. If not specified, the first column of the table is used.
    * sortOrder (optional): a value of 1 or -1 to specify ascending or descending order of the sort column. If not specified, ascending order is used.
To use the TopN function in Power BI:
    1. Select the visual you want to filter.
    2. Go to the Visualizations pane and click on the Format icon (paint roller).
    3. Under the Data colors section, click on the ellipsis (three dots) and select "Top N".
    4. In the Top N dialog box, choose whether you want to show the top or bottom items and how many items you want to show.
    5. Select the measure you want to use to determine the top or bottom items.
    6. Click OK to apply the filter.
The TopN function can also be used in combination with other filters to create more complex filtering scenarios.
