The DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) language in Power BI includes two functions called "VALUE" and "VALUES".
The "VALUE" function converts a text string that represents a number to a number. For example, if you have a column with text values like "100", "200", "300", etc., and you want to perform arithmetic operations on those values, you can use the "VALUE" function to convert them to numbers.
The "VALUES" function, on the other hand, returns a table that contains a list of distinct values from a specified column. This function is useful when you want to create a table that summarizes the distinct values in a column.

What is the use case of Values function, can this be used with group by or summarize function in tables to know total sales.

Mam when you are using,. values (table name) , it is returning the table with same number of rows and columns...means can we use values(table name) to create duplicate table ...is there any other way we can use this values(table name) ? Plzzz reply

Yes, you can use the VALUES function to add a new column in a table.

Instead of creating new table using dax function it is better to change data type and using the same table is better

Yes we can do that well.. Changing datatype at runtime is not recommended
