End-to-End DAX Tutorial | Power Bi | IF FUNCTION & SWITCH FUNCTION | KSR Datavizon
In this CZcams video, we'll explore the "if" and "switch" DAX functions in Power BI. DAX stands for Data Analysis Expressions and is a formula language used in Power BI to create custom calculations and expressions.
The "if" function allows you to test a condition and return one value if the condition is true, and another value if the condition is false. We'll walk through examples of how to use the "if" function in different scenarios.
The "switch" function is used to evaluate an expression against a list of cases and return the result corresponding to the first matching case. We'll demonstrate how to use the "switch" function in Power BI to make complex calculations more efficient.
By the end of this video, you'll have a good understanding of how to use the "if" and "switch" DAX functions in Power BI to create more powerful and efficient calculations.
Overall, these DAX functions can be very useful for data analysis in Power BI, and understanding how to use them effectively can help you gain valuable insights from your data.

Thank you so much for your kind words, please subscribe our channel for regualr updates, thank you
Thank you for this clear lesson. The second option is easier to use.
What is the DAX syntax for IF ((A or B) is TRUE and C is TRUE) THEN D=1, ELSE D=2
Without true() also we can use switch like
Switch (table[country],1,"India",2,"Italy".....)
Thanks for sharing. Do share some more examples of Dax on All; All Selected ; All except
