  • Whipped coconut oil is an easy “Do It Yourself” project. When coconut oil is whipped the gritty feeling is removed. In this video I am using Vitamin E and Tapioca Starch both ingredients are optional. Coconut oil can be melted in the microwave or by creating a water bath. The longer you whip the coconut oil the lighter and fluffier the oil becomes. I prefer the thicker version of whipped coconut oil.
No essential oil or fragrance oil was used in this video. If you want to use a fragrance oil please follow the manufacturer’s suggested usage. For essential oils you want to use no more than 1% depending on the essential oil. One percent is approximately 21 drops. Some essential oils are photosensitizing please read and understand the properties of the essential oil before you use it.
There are numerous uses for coconut oil such as: For dry skin use as a replacement for Vaseline, pre-shampoo hot oil treatment for hair, scalp conditioner, make up remover, combine with sugar for a lip scrub, combined with sugar or salt salt for a luscious body scrub, use for oil pulling to freshen breath, after shave soother for the armpits or legs, combine with a light carrier oil and make an awesome massage oil. If you think of other ways to use coconut oil please comment I would love to hear your thoughts.

@@DeGanyaAromatics of course! I checked out your website too! It’s nice to see a believer who is teaching natural “stuffs” and not worshipping the creation. I also like Heidi Villegas, here on CZcams. She teaches how to make herbal medicine, tinctures and such. She’s a believer too!
      Have a great day!!!

Thank you so much, no offense taken. I did not notice the transposition of the letters. Now I need to figure out how to make the correction without losing the number of views. Great catch.

    Can you use flour instead?

Great question, my apologies for the delay in responding. I never used flour for oil absorption when making a whipped butter product. I have only used cornstarch or arrowroot powder. If you test with flour let me know, based upon my assumptions, I would think flour might get clunky. I do not see it blending easily. However, I could be completely wrong.

Salut. How do yo keep it? In fridge? I live in Guadeloupe it is hot everyday. Does it stay fluffy? Or must i put something else to keep the "fluffyness". Thank you

Good question. Put it in the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes until it hardens and then you whip it. After it is whipped keep it in the fridge because it is hot and it will melt. By keeping it in the fridge it will maintain a lot of it’s fluffiness and creaminess without melting. It will be cold to the touch. But it won’t melt really quickly on the skin and you will not get that gritty feeling. Because it is summer where I live, I keep mine in the fridge too. When the winter comes and the temperature drops below 76° Fahrenheit then I will let you stay out. Thanks for watching the video.
