    I leftThe gray bullet connection unhooked on mine. When I connected it my cart would operate in tow mode and without a key. Without it connected everything functions perfectly

    With this kit. Do you need a voltage reducer. My cart is a 48volt cart.

    Question - Is the gray wire on the 2008+ models always hot carrying 12V? Curious what it's doing as I troubleshoot my 2004-2008 factory 12-pin harness. I'm thinking it may be easier/Cheaper to run a NEW bucket harness to bypass the factory 12-pin connector. At this point I'm not sure where the problem is but I'm not getting any voltage readings on the factory 12 pin. Thanks... If that gray wire is the only tie in, I can home run a new wire to where ever it needs to go.

    Good stuff! Question: I bought a 48v CC Prec cart that already had a Led light kit, was about to add some 12v accessories and can’t find / don’t think there’s a voltage reducer. How to you know if the lights are the flex voltage style?

      All of our instamatic light kits will be flex volt. That information should also be included in our listings.

    Great video. I’m working on a 2018 club car precedent. Purchased with an existing light kit, however I’m doing the upgrades now. I’ve added the blinker set and the horn with ease. From your video, I believe my gray cables are not attached and I do not have a relay. My kit came with the simple brake pad and screws but I cannot get any power to allow the pad to work. Should I order a relay and connect the gray cables? I’d also prefer the brake light system in your video instead of the pad, is there a way to purchase the brake kit alone?

      That's why I'm adding a fuse block. It's ridiculous to have in-line fuses tucked who knows where.

    Hi, What does the Gray Wire do with the bullet Connector?

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Před rokem +2

      The gray wire sends power to the relay under the dash that allows power to flow down to the brake switch. Great question!

    Lots of good info, thanks! Would you have any info on installing on an '18 club car onward gas? Im having a bit of a time running a new blinker/headlight/horn kit properly. When I have power to engage engine, I have no lights/turnsignals-- and vice versa. On a side note, the DRLs never work with the a/m harness i have..

    Nice video very helpful, but what is the connector that your thumb is on at 5:06?

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Před rokem

      Hello Dan, thank you for reaching out. We believe you're referring to the empty 12-pin connector that will be connected to the wiring harness provided with the new light kit. Christian discusses that process further around 5:40.

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Před rokem

      Hey Tim! No voltage refuser needed. Our flex volt lift kits work on 12v-48v systems with no reducer needed. If you’re piling on other accessories then, yes, a voltage reducer would be recommended.
