Time to review the new (sort of) smart robot Vacuum by Bagotte: BG700.
During the time of testing it has shown some remarkable qualities, and seems to be a good step up from the predecessor - the BG600 which was reviewed on the channel a few months ago.
Beginning with unboxing - everything is as it should be. Packed in cardboard. Good design, and pretty optimal usage of that space. A lot of documentation.
The top area of the vacuum apparently has only single button - which can start and respectively stop the cleaning; it is well visible and the design is sleek; More interesting is of course the bottom - there’s a main v-brush - in my opinion this has become a must have already; these v-brushes usually collect a lot of hair - and you have to clean them from time to time, and the mechanism is quite good and quick-release enabled. There’s a little wheel on the front, and two side brushes! We mentioned the Roborock S5 earlier - and it has only one; That’s at least one area where the BG700 wins!
The wheels are large and you will see in a moment how good they can handle carpets.
Some tech specs: 1600PA suction power - which is well above the industry average, maximum runtime is around 100 minutes with the 2600mah battery, collision sensors and WiFi module. Note that there are three suction modes - there’s the standard, the auto and the MAX mode; With “AUTO” you get the perfect balance - normal suction during most of the time, and it turns the motor to the max when carpets are detected; which is exactly how the famous Roborock S5 handles this operation too.
Although this robot has no laser object detection system, it can still recognize objects on the front, avoid collisions, even detect edges. There are a few different cleaning modes - the spot cleaning, which sucks at one particular area; or multi cleaning; or the auto mode, which is most optimal and the mode that is expected to be used most frequently.
Few words about the smartphone app:Finding the robot was easy. There are options to configure different rooms, and for each different room you may set some specific actions; You could see the battery status, initiate cleaning, ask the robot to go back to its dock, or use the “find function” to figure out where it got stuck, In case it did. Never had such an issue myself, but these robots can easily choke on a sock or cable. The scheduling is pretty cool - and I guess it may partially compensate the lack of maps.
Alexa and Google Home would also be happy - because there’s an integration module and you can do the setup from the smartphone app.
The only disappointing part is the way we limit the vacuum’s range - while it can cover quite a huge area - up to 200 sq.m, the only way to limit is with this magnetic strap. Would have been better with a virtual wall.
To sum thinbgs up - my opinion is that for $250 device is performs great! While it cannot create maps, it is powerful enough to satisfy every household, and looks like a well-built and very durable device with WiFi module and possibility to connect to your smart home.

I brought this bg700 robotic vacuum off amazon on Friday and I received it yesterday. This vacuum is really good its doesn't miss anything like the Roomba 750. Which I brought on Thursday from Walmart and returned it on Friday morning seeing that the 750 doesn't clean well. The only real downside about the BG700 which I've noticed when the battery is low it's won't returned home by itself. Outside of that this vacuum worth more then then the Shark 750 which I paid $243. For the BG700 i paid $193.

Interesting device! It is definitely not suitable for my dirty and untidy home. Possibly I could buy it for my mother, but I am not sure if she is able and willing to clean the dust bag of it. Thank you Micheal that you share opinion about your toys. I am really impressed how diverse your interests are and how you manage to use all of them in real life.

Sergij, such a shame that I reach these comments just now. But ... doing my best to catch up. I think you know well how you can get a quick response if some time is needed, right? :-)
Yeah, trying to keep a good balance of devices, and generally - covering devices that are either smart, or can shoot somehow video, or are fun and catchy. I think this is how technology is supposed to be these days 😇

If you specifically set the robot to “small room” mode, it attempts to properly map a path to clean it.
