To address stuff in no particular order:
- Sonic: Lock & Load is purely a one-man endeavour, I'm working on this thing myself with (currently) no help
- Sonic's quickswap slash has been nerfed in v1.4.1
- Amy's infinite jump glitch has been fixed
- Classic Sonic will be able to wall jump like the others
- Shadow's High Shovel is a reference to Tails Gets Trolled
- I forgot to make the Spider Mastermind a projectile monster, oops
- I'm not totally great at level design, admittedly
- Some forced encounters have been removed, the only one that hasn't is the one at the end of Level 3
- GZDoom is one of the game engines ever made, developing S:L&L has been an adventure alright

i find it funny that they grab classic sonic instead of one of the two other main sonic characters who have used guns, tails and eggman. I mean you can also grab fang and whisper the wolf but they are less known.
Al it needs more it's Sonic replacement sprites for all enemies, heavy metal versions of Sonic Posts for music and it will be perfect. 🤘🏻
8:44 I'm pretty sure the shovel here is a reference to a scene in the comic Tails Gets Trolled, where after Shadow, Knuckles, and Tails are done burying the trolls they just killed, Knux asks Shadow if he wants to get high. And since he knows he does, they high five with the shovels.

This reminds me of the type of mods I used to play all the time on various Unreal servers. Multicolored versions of original weapons with insane speed and effects. This one server I found a couple of years ago even had a Christmas themed mod that was even more insane, and they just kept that mod active all year long. Anyhow, I think it's time to go play Sonic.

Shadow's pump action submachine gun is still one of the most gloriously stupid things I've ever seen.
You know, its been a minute since you've covered SRB2. Why not cover some of its many character mods? The Whisper the Wolf mod has really cool FPS gameplay, and very unique movement.
There’s a more intuitive, though perhaps slower method for getting Classic Sonic out of deep bodies of water: His bounce-jumping ability. Bouces can be chained together to achieve progressively greater height with each bounce, theoretically granting Classic Sonic no limit in terms of max achievable height. Just make sure you hit the bounce button at the top of each bounce, and your next bounce will be higher than the last
I actually enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog, and before anyone says it's nostalgia, I played it about three months ago on my original Xbox before it died, still enjoyed it.

This is honestly what I've been waiting for in a Doom sonic mod, the previous 3rd person sonic mod that was more true to the original sonic and not more like Doom, still was very cool to see that in the doom engine but THIS is what I have wanted since I saw that first sonic mod! I'll wait for it to be completed more .....well honestly, I doubt it lol I'll probably snag it and get sucked in but still, this reminds me a lot of golden souls, but it's just not finished yet.

That shovel/trowel with its sounds seems like a TF2 reference, which is kinda likely given another weapon in the pack also uses the notable Panic Attack shotgun fire sound

Looks like this needed a lot more time in the oven before a public release. It's no where close to the quality of mods like Hocus Pocus, Jazz Jackrabbit, or Golden Souls.
I think a cool balance patch would be to merge classic sonic and modern sonic, make his dash and lock on work similar to shadow for consistency and use the slot opened for tail or knuckles
Tails could be support role with most weapons bein sentries, mines, drones and deployable jump pack and health pack and knuckles is the tanky punchy guy

Very cool idea. Wouldn’t play this personally. Wielding an OP arsenal renders the game pointless to play for me. I rather play something more intricately balanced.
I'm surprised you didn't use Classic Sonic's air melee which I think it gives him invincibility frames and and one shots most enemies

So, I see the option for the Super form transformation in the keybinds screen, but even with the 'give all' command and over 50 rings, I can't transform. I haven't really played much of it, just tested the first map to see if it'll work on my current GZ Doom version - do you acquire the Chaos Emeralds later to transform? Or is that something still in development?
The Chaos Emeralds are a separate pickup, use `summon chaosemeralds`
Its pickup based. There's a secret in the first level that gives you the full chaos emerald pickup and it goes from there.
I'd say it might be a Berserk Pack replace if you want to try spawning that particular item.

I've never heard of "Dark Amy" before, but it sounds pretty cool, and I tried Hyper Sonic by chance, summoning a second set of Emeralds.
Question for you, though: the homing attack doesn't seem to work right for me. It launches me towards the target a few feet, then just cuts out all momentum. Am I doing something wrong?

The idea, even though not new (was done already in Super Sonic Doom, 2004), is pretty cool. Level design is very bland though, very uninspired and lacking in detail.
Super Sonic Doom plays nothing like this.
