I grew up in a straight lace white Methodist church and I used to sneak and listen to 97.5 in Atlanta during the night in my room, they'd play Kirk, Donnie, Dorothy Norwood, Andrae Crouch, CeCe Winans, Yolanda, The Clark Sisters, Donald Lawrence and The Tri City Singers, alllll of them. I grew up now raising my kids on this. My daughter LOVES Hezekiah Walker.
Never liked the song, or thought it was good. Some churches sing songs over and over because the original group, etc. was/is popular and they (the church) want to seem hip and trendy by performing it. I do appreciated that others sing songs repeatedly, because they like the song.

Coming from Ft Worth....Kirk and Cornell Murrell used to conduct the MLK Celebration Choir. Rehearsals were spirit filled and performance night we glorified the Lord in the highest praise. I will always remember the act time I heard Tamela Mann lead a song smh
