Thank you for this video Chuck! Last year I began a project for a portable hex for POTA with a 3d base/hub, and using Pex water pipe. I’ve yet to finish it, but watching your video has inspired me to re-visit it and work toward finishing it!

Beautifully done, Chuck💯👍 I could not do this any better myself. Looks very professional. Golden Rule here, save as much unecessary Weight as you can without giving up on Stability. Hey, tnx for another neat Video. I share this One with my Facebookers. Until the ext One. 73 from Coast to Coast and Sea the shining Sea de YFUG 💯🙋‍♂

That is a great looking setup! I helped a friend put a buddihex up before the totality event. Super easy and it looks like your way will be as well. Good luck, I might have to do this some day.

Visit some sign shops in your area, see if they have any free (or cheap) thick Plexiglas remnants for making isolators for your antenna feedpoints.

If you were to sell the HUB and make a suggested parts list for all of the other parts, I would buy it. I don't have the tools to do the hub. Would love to build a hex beam. I think the hub is the most important piece.

Enquired the cost of a locally built Hexbeam. It is almost one third of the cost of my FT-710! So I am still on my homebrew fan dipole for 40/10m which allows me to work on 40, 15 and 10m. 73 de Jon, VU2JO

What is a good website that has the build instructions. How long at the fiberglass poles? How long are the top support ropes? Where do I find the clips you used? How do I weave the wires inside the hex?
