- Chad Daybell’s mother, Sheila Daybell, took the stand on Thursday afternoon, expressing her concern about her son and how quickly he had moved on from his wife, Tammy. Sheila said she thought that Lori wasn’t Chad’s type and was extremely different from who Tammy was. She continued to discuss her relationship with the couple.

I would not want to be in Mrs. Daybells shoes…..testifying in a capital murder case against her her own son. That has to hurt.
If I was that monster's mother I would ask the court to give him the max on a guilty verdict.

As a mother I just can’t imagine how Mrs Daybell is feeling testifying about her son , she must be utterly devastated at the thought of her son causing so much pain and suffering to so many people.
To be honest, I didn't see much of her devastation. She even chuckled a few times... Nothing against chuckling and we all grieve differently, but most of us would behave differently if he were our son. You may be projecting your own kindness onto others.
I am a bit surprised that nothing was asked to her regarding Chad's teachings.

But I also hope she knows the awful vile son she raised is a child murderer and his crimes were horrific, but I guess it’s just me that thinks “ that poor lady how will she ever cope knowing how vile and sadistic he really is “ and especially at his parents age it must be mind blowing.

Prior is leading the witness. What he doesn't realize is jurors are smart. They are given juror instructions to follow. Just like opening statements, Prior's statements are not evidence. It's so obvious. If jurors don't believe part of someone's testimony, they'll just toss that witness' testimony completely. Prior is not helping Chad, particularly this week.

Why aren't they asking why he killed his wife? He killed his wife and married his lover and thought he was above justice.
They’re not asking why he killed her because this is the trial to determine whether he killed or not. Remember, no matter how guilty someone seems, they are always presumed innocent until a jury or judge determines their guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. He’s been charged with these murders, but not convicted yet.
I have Mrs Daybell in my prayers, along with the Cox family. Very sad and challenging circumstances
