i have met many many recovering meth addicts.... i suspect most ppl have considering 1outa every two godamn ppl in any rural area in this country is on meth.... not one did not relapse and the entire time they were sober the only thing they was excited to talk about was meth.... they are not "sober".... 25 years in the pen and on work release for one of and its all he fuckin talked about.... 5 months after release he got busted for making meth.... i am a betting man.... this guy relapsed... any takers? this shit does not let go of you ever...... every moment you dont have it, it is actual torture

Congrats on your recovery. There is not a more deserved GOLD medal than your achievement. As a a parent, your insights are invaluable in my effort to guide my children to a safe outcome. I've had some very good friends lost to drugs....and they have told me me that as good as it is.....don't fucking even start. This conversation took place when I had a successful life and theirs was in tatters..... they had the clarity to recognize that I might have been interested. They sobered enough to say..."Don't even start". He was my best friend since grade 3. We are ~50 years old now...and as lost as he is, he steers me clear of his suffering. I love him even though I cannot do anything for him. We both know this....We still talk.

Guys, he is doing good ! He is in a video over on CG kid´s channel, recent video (4 months ago). I guess in this case he really just silently graduated from posting videos in general, nothing happened.
I hope not. It's just strange. As hes someone who knows the ins and out of this life, he more than anyone should know what a silent drop off tells us or implies. The worry of relapse, mental health, etc that it causes everyone. When we see people stop showing up to meetings, ghosting therapists, ghosting commitments and people who care...it's never usually a good sign. If everything truly was OK and he just didn't wanna do youtube anymore why not just take 30 sec to tell people?
Anyway, regardless I hope he's happy, at peace and it's all goodness. Leaving people who invest in you, helped you grow, are actually concerned for you in the dark isn't a cool thing to do though.

Hey dude I hope you're doing better. Your videos have helped me learn a lot of the real truth about hard drugs. Im 19 now and my parents have hinted in the past towards their addictions, more recently since I became an adult. Im slowly realizing how much it effects the people and community around me. I always had a seeking suspission but now my mom is outright apologizing to me for using. Its a lot to take in and understand but these videos helped me feel not so alone. I still and always will care about my mother but my dad is definitely an enabler. I also live in New York, in Syracuse and harm reduction has fortunely become a big thing.

Harm reduction is very good, but long term solution is always abstinence.
Im gonna come down from hydromorphon, oxycodone and from time to time suboxone for the first time in a year. I’m scared as fuck. I had several „mild“ withdrawals but it’s just getting worse and worse. I was off opioids for 8 hours or something and felt like shit, really fking terrible. And it’s building up for the first 2-3 days, I literally don’t know how I will do this, but I have to and I want to….
You can do it. It will be alright. Just take it one day at a time one thing at a time one step at a time. It’s gonna suck for a few days but you can get through it and be fine

Needle exchanges are a lifesaver.... im glad i quit useing now you acctually have to test your drugs with test strips for xylazine and fetanyl....what do you make of these test strips

I work for a harm reduction organisation, drawing comics that teach harm reduction practices, which are distributed in jails. The subject material is grim but the comics are funny and feature cute, foul mouthed animals. It's the weirdest but most rewarding drawing job.

I have tried to get on suboxone twice now, the first time I got sent into precipitated withdraws and the second time i took 6mg and just continued withdrawing until I used. I want to get on suboxone but how the hell are you supposed to take it. 2nd time I was in full withdraw and it didn't do anything. Should I take a large suboxone dose?
Wait as long as you can since your last use. The sicker you are the better subs will work. When you can't take it any longer eat an 8mg tab or strip. Wait a half hr and you should start noticing the symptoms ending. Depending on your use you may have to take more. There's a plateau effect with subs where it has a cap. I'm trying to explain if you eat 24mg or 96mg it has the same ceiling. Back when I was on subs many years back it was 24mg a day. Look into the. sublocade shot it's life changing without having to deal with subs and daily medication, counts, people hitting you up for them etc.. best of luck , it's worth getting clean

Help! Do you think telling my loved one they need to HATE drugs… is the key for them getting well?
I mean, I don’t think it’s the key but if they were to get sober and learn to hate drugs that probably would help them not to relapse but that’s much easier said than done. I feel like it’s impossible to get truly sober, literally everyone relapses but it really depends on what drug you’re doing and your mindset about it. I feel like if you started later in life than it’s possible to get sober but for me I started doing drugs at 15 and made it my everything. The last 5 years of my life have been devoted to learning about drugs and practically worshipping them. They fascinate me more then anything and I don’t know how I would break this way of thinking when I’ve been like this for a quarter of my life and pretty much right when I started to become “me” in terms of puberty and life choices, freedom and what not

Hey, I used to do it. Just another opioid with same effects pretty much but difference being the ceiling effect of seizures. Not very sustainable because once tolerance goes up, you can't adjust the dose to the higher side because you will seize. CG Kid has an interview of a people who did it as his DOC if I remember correctly.

@@MsSturbuck Similarly to other drugs, especially opioids and very nuanced. If addiction has developed, everything goes related to addiction recovery. If you're asking about the withdrawals, they should be milder than 'no-ceiling dose' opioids. Really, it's almost the same as codeine. But Tramadol has subtleties because it also works on 5HT(serotonin) receptors so it might add some antidepressant withdrawals as well. I, myself am on suboxone. Been on it for a year, tapering down now and on a very low dose at the moment. Do you have problems with Tramadol use?

Hope things are alright man, you kinda fell off the face of the earth all of a sudden.
The country I live in have directions from the state to implement needle exchanges and addict resourse facilities as they call it. But many local politicians use the "enabling addiction with clean needles hurrdurr" and sadly the public swallows it like gospel from Jesus himself (drugs and drug users are extremely stigmatized and practically shunned for smoking hashish once as a teenager by some). Luckily never got HepC myself but I was the anomaly in the drug scene in my small town where everyone knows everyone and their business. More died after fentanyl analogues entered with a bang. Would likely be dead as well had I not lucked out when getting accepted into a great 24/7 rehab with long time schedule and coming up on 3 years sober this autumn
