I recently lost the woman of my dreams, I mean I literally thought of her every single day until one day she needed a place to live and I had just bought my farm. I still remember the day we were laughing and cooking and whatnot and she paused.... Turned to me and said "I love you. I absolutely love you..." And I cried after picking my jaw up off the ground. The woman of my dreams loves me????
But the wolves got to her... The jealous ones... And now I'm on month two of crying non stop... And I just want her to hear this... It's all older one, but damnit I wish for her to conquer all.... And hopefully return to me....

It's 2019 and I still find myself listening to this song. This song still holds a special spot in my heart.

This was the first song i ever heard of Assemblage 23 and when i heard it i cried so hard. This is my all time favorite song. The words are beautiful...
I needed this song. I'm in one of the most fragile states mentally that I've been in for years. I needed something beautiful and hopeful.
I put this on my favorites 11 years ago. And still today, listening to it invokes the same emotion it did before
every time I'm sad about my cat I'll listen to this song and let it all out.
Fred was 8 months old, since birth a stomach problem, at the end also had a heart problem. way too young to be put to sleep. miss fred so much
I'd like to think that Fred directed a starved and dehydrated kitty to my house a month later.he sat on the corner for a few days. he was most likely a case of "vacation dump". He was so weak he slept for 2 days straight and was immediately accepted by my other cats

Assemblage 23 songs are often aggressive or desperation-bringing in line with the future-pop mood, but this one is so smooth and relaxing and inspire a sense of trust as well as VNV NATION’s ILLUSION.
I can't think of one aggressive Assemblage 23 song or one that seemed desparate in any sense. Then again art is subjective so if thats what you got from Tom's music I can't argue with that.
I view this song and VNV's Illusion as not a dialogue taking place between one person to another- these aren't codependent anthems or meant to invoke a sense of loss by any means.
I view both songs as a reminder from the other end of the sacred heart, in the quantum field where one of our higher frequency (higher consciousness) selves resides. One that was once here, when we were one density lower. The part of us understands the trials and tribulations of the game of duality, and now occupies a spaceless timeless realm beyond- not up there in the cosmos anywhere, but deep inside our heart & superimposed within every part of the hologram we call reality.
To put it simply these songs are our soul calling us back to our true selves. "The wolves outside your door" is in refrence to miscreations- mind oriented solid state beliefs based off nothing but thoughts we repeatedly think. This world is just illusion, always trying to change us is also in refrence to these social matrix thoughtforms.
The heart generates more electricity and far more magnetism than the brain. Home is where the heart is. "Return to me" is saying come home. Return to your soul.
This is my interpretation of these songs. You dont have to agree with any of it, I'm not asking you to. Infinity is beautiful & I love you.
Absolute respect for your point of view on these songs. I think you like unconventional and good music. Have a nice day.

I use to listen to this song a lot when i was younger and i had forgotten ALL about it!! Then i was listening to a song that totally triggered my memory of this song and i was ommmggg what was it called!?! Then it hit me, it was lullaby but i couldn't find out who the artist was for the life of me! It took me 2 hours to find! Luckily i remebered one part "the wolves outside your door". Even still nothing was popping up for me. I am so glad ive found this song again! They should make it easier to find songs!

Aside from the fact that this song is absolutely beautiful, I love how much this contrasts from Assemblage 23s other music. It really shows what they can do as a band.
I have PTSD and use this to sleep each night, it helps.

I suffer from paranoia issues. I will sometimes get panic attacks in the middle of the night and usually have that "someone-standing-over-your-shoulder" feeling while trying to sleep. Since i've been listening to this song, I haven't had a big issue in 2 months.
I woke up with this song stuck in my head, thinking of my beautiful sweet handsome boyfriend, Sky. And it made me so happy.

i find this song cumforting. no matter how i feel this song reminds me of my home. i know it sounds silly but i was afraid of the dark and i conqured that fear and it ended up being my safe place and when i listen to this song it makes me want to cuddle up in my bed and know everything will be alright.

This song is for all who arn't with us anymore, and when our time comes, this song will be there too. Sorry to hear about your cat, pets are family too and always has a place in our hearts. @Wolvesdontfly I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. My dog died 5 years ago. She got old and could hardly get up, so we put her down. It's been 5 years, this October, and I'm still not over it. It's something that you can never get over, no matter how much you say you are.
