I am from North East. Reminds me of college days. I used to pass by Vidhan Soudha every single day. Its the best city(Namma Bengaluru) overall in my opinion.
Tiny suggestion - try to learn or make an effort to learn Kannada. Kannadigas are one of the sweetest people you’ll meet.

Price of making it money making Machine for state
Due to cutting off of the large canopied trees and expansion of the city roads, metro railway station, apartments and huge buildings we have lots of heat being generated due to the concrete jungles and the tarred roads as well.
The lakes and water bodies have also disappeared. Hence no AC effect is available nowadays.
I am an old subscriber of yours & I was so chuffed with this episode as I am originally from Bangalore. Thank you for the positive vibes.

Our Bengaluru is no longer a green city with lot of green cover gone and heated up. Fortunately you arrived here after first showers (it rained on friday evening) and you visited Cubbon Park on a holiday when traffic movment is restricted.
Having come to Bengaluru you could have tried some local cousine at iconic hotels (MTR or Vidyarthi Bhavan or CTR)
It hasn't lost, in fact it's gained more green. It's a false myth generated by half educated citizens. Over the years from 50s onwards top municipal officials did a wonderful job of planting a lot of roadside green and also the highest number of parks in any top city in the world. It used to have less foliage and many of today's areas were villages and fields. So wrong info...
I think Bangalore is a lot greener than it used to be. There are small well maintained neighborhood parks in every locality. and the tree cover has in fact increased. Regarding iconic places I suggest the lovely pubs all over town. CTR is greasy and overwrought. Try the Janata reataurant in the neighborhood instead or the New Krishna Bhavan opposite Mantri Mall.
Bangaluru is progressing at a faster, modern eco friendly pace than 40 years ago. Nobody is perfect but we all learn faster, find solutions and keep improving. Chavs and old codgers keep criticising and assume everyone listens to them.
Old bangalore is still greener. Dont look for greenery in just developing areas🙄

Great video. It's a great one to show why ppl love cubbon park. They recently banned activities at cubbon park. No eating, no playing with kids, no climbing trees, no skating.

Cubbon park is a wonderful place haha you will spot a lot of lovers holding hands even now, like the Akshay editing there*, so It was established in the year 1870 by Sri John Meade, the then acting Commissioner of Mysore, naming it after the previous Commissioner of Mysore, Mark Cubbon, so that's almost 150 years old park and hey also the vada pav the green chutney is not chilly, its mostly mint, also felt there is always quite more to Bangalore.
