I wanted to go over the best Lies of P skills and abilities for everyone and them some for certain technique or motivity builds. I've tried this all the way to phase 5 and re-rolled a few times, so hopefully this helps give some insight into the best skills in Lies of p.
Let me know if you've tried anything different or would set the P-organ up a different way.

For those wondering, you can aquire all quartz again on each ng+ playthough. Each ng+ playthrough adds another level it. By your 3rd playthrough, you will be up to level 7.
Do you keep all your upgrade on ng+ just asking ?

Yes you do. It's impossible to fill up all phases in one run, so the game expects you to go through several runs.

Really appreciate this video! I felt so uncertain with what I was choosing the entire time and really starting to feel the struggle since I'm currently stuck at the Mad Clown Puppet lol it's been rough...
5:59 ! THIS. This is what I needed to know and no one would tell me.
The main focus for a build I like is purposely avoiding getting more pulse cells, instead opting for recharging them.
And then I added all the dmg/stagger when pulse cells are discharged perks.
Just use your heals very leniently, you’ll get a decent chunk of extra damage when you don’t have any and if you do need more pulse cells they won’t be far off because of the enhanced charge from attacks recharging over time perks.

This stuff's pretty much common sense I was worried about making the wrong decisions but you don't have to play the game very much before you know which of these things are more vital than the others that said this did help with a couple things I didn't understand

Just got to phase 5 and have 2 quartz. I am thinking I will go increase staggerable window 1 but is there a difference between 1 and 2 other than one requiring 2 extra points?
Id replace all the ergo bonuses with other things. The increase is nice but if youre really hurting for levels id say that a single run through the previous area you just beat more than makes up for the lost ergo bonuses, and the buffs you get in return are much more useful.
Once you're leveled up and in NG+ you earn so much ergo you can scrap the ergo perks. I put some extra quartz into Fable arts and Fable ATK and it's been a great addition to my tech build.
If u take all the bonuses from being out of pulse cells the buffs you get on top of build buffs can get crazy
I agree for phase 3 other than the cube. The cube is absolutely amazing especially if you increase the uses and how fast you can use it. Winning in a boss fight can be the difference of have 1 or 2 extra heals. I’ve had that cube save me in quite a few boss fights.
Personally I disagree, having an adhd brain that can't focus on more than 2 things at a time (Being to block the next attack and get perplexed how I didn't block it), having to then swap to a different form of abilities for a random buff that costs currency (I am also a hoarder in games, have I ever used a throwable, no outside of that one sidequest that wants you to. Have I ever sold a throwable? No because I may use them someday)... I'd much rather throw myself against a wall until I ungabunga to get the job done xD
Am glad you're enjoying it tho, was personally sad when most of the end game p-organ stuff was catered towards it and had to backtrack for updoots, but I hope you didn't feel the same way in that regard :) Hope you're having fun with the game btw!!!

@@destinystriumph1573 lol I used to be the same way with items. I used to horde them because I’m always afraid I’ll use them up before a time when I need them most. Then I tried using them and they just just help so much and the fact that you can just restock on them so easily by going to the merchant in the Malik District, I wasn’t afraid to use them anymore. I am certainly enjoying the game very much. I’m currently in NG+++ and man it is pretty hard lol. I’m just trying to go through and get all my achievements done.
@@YureiOni Yeah Lies of P is obviously designed to take advantage by using throwables and similar, they give you the opportunity from the early game, i mean infinite throwables from the chapter 5 onwards, plus, the currency needed to use the cube and specter is literally growing by itself, another "infinite" resource :D
Cube is ace for Specter heals and defence on. Bosses.

Great guide. They made this whole thing needlessly confusing. From an all around fantastic game, this upgrade skill tree process is the one major issue. I’ve wasted a bunch of quartz before finding a guide (this one is by far the best). Now I’ve got to wait and make it to the respec area so that I can unf*ck my build.

Ng+ even gives more phases. One of them is guard fury attacks. Meaning you can regular block fury attacks

@@banuner_ it’s guard regain dmg. But a decent chunk. Tho there is also a passive ability in the p-organ system that recovers all your guard regain if you perfect parry a fury attack
That's HUGE! I already wanted to do ng+ to try out different weapons but more powerful phases sounds dope
great breakdown, thanks for sharing. from your testing, do you recall charge legion arm for eliminating an enemy being any good? it seems like it has potential, esp for falcon eyes.
It's pretty good for most legion arms. But falcon eyes uses so much legion, especially if you double shoot
In my opinion as someone whos beaten the game i dont think the levels are really long enough to the point where you would really need that much more legion. Legion mags are so easy to get so if you need more for some reason just use those.

Hi, I followed the same steps as you up to phase 4... could you tell me in phase 5 which features to select, please?
Wondering whether to buy special weapons or amulets with the boss ergo? What are your chosen amulets for your technique build?
I was able to completely ignore stagger duration upgrades by just throwing a shot put at staggered enemies and it instantly downs them

Wondering why I don’t have rising dodge as an option? Is it an update or is it something in a different version?
I understand you seem to avoid using a specter based on your lack of Cube usage… however for those of us who do not mind using a specter for the harder boss fights….whether it’s after you’ve fought awhile and just eventually decide you want the help…. The multiple cube uses are what make Specters viable for the double health bar bosses. Almost all double health bosses will destroy a specter before or shortly after starting phase 2. Having the extra cube use to top off their health and the quick cube use single quarts upgrade to easily squeeze it in between attacks from a fast boss is a worthwhile investment.
Whether it’s just for the boss fight and after you respec those quarts into others options or permanently….. either way don’t sleep on the handful of Cube related P-Organ upgrades. They can make a big difference for people really struggling.
i just started lies of p and they have changed some things like for 1 they took away the rising Dodge but you get real neat stuff ck it out patch 103

I thought pulse cells discharge was just when ever you use a single one not when you completely run out 😂
I'm bummed I missed 2 quartz tied to the big blue greatsword. I went with the amulet instead because I'm a dex build. I'm at chapter 11 stuck on laxasia boss, and I'm sitting at 24 quartz crystals, so I have to wait until new game+ before I get the other quarz

Just a heads up if you completely fill phase 1 and phase 2 you can bypass phase 3 and phase 4 and go straight to 5
You mean getting the necessary slot for the bonus? Example +1 pulse cell, or all the slots inside a category?
@@pandoro2003 if you get all the slots in phase 1 you'll bypass to phase 3. Basically it takes two slots to open up the next phase and two more to open up the next phase beyond that

Got a different play style and I need the throwable consumables because they wreck bosses from a distance and hard to reach enemies.
They save my ass so much . Extra throwables and consumables are mandatory. Consumables mostly just for fable cells and legion magazines
what does rising dodge do? dont u already dodge on the ground
If you get knocked down you can dodge straight from the ground instead of slowly standing back up and then dodging. Like a safety roll.
Being forced to take an Item Type ability for Phase 5 really sucks. Makes me wish I would have chosen different earlier on so I could have chosen Increased Ergo upon elimating enemy 2 for phase 5 instead of 3 lol. Maybe when I have all the Quartz for a run I'll go back and respec and try to get everything locked in better.
Anyone else not have the rising dodge? For me it says retain guard Reagan upon pulse cell use

Why are your p organs different from mine? Rising dodge isn’t a thing in my game apparently instead I have retain guard regain upon pulse cell use. Any have any thoughts
Rising Dodge changed to a new Ability upon the most recent Patch.

@@php9646 Rising dodge was a thing, but it got removed from being an upgrade and was made as a default skill you can do right off the bat.
Wish I found this b4 I found my 1st 3 organs

I unlocked the PERFECT GUARD CAUSE STIFFNESS ability in P Organ but it seems to have no effect. Did anyone tried it succesfully?
I find the "More ergo from enemies" kind of a waste of quartz since you can farm ergo pretty Easy anyways but thats me

Where is this mysterious 29th quarts? Everything I've read says 28 is the max and indeed 28 I found. Granted my first go round I only could use 27, leaving me with one quarts just hanging in a slot unfinished. I did find the 28th but it's locked behind the " frozen feast" side quest at the end game and that crap sword just wasn't appealing next to the amulet it has as an alternative choice so common sense dictated that the amulet is the way to go and it is but it screws you out of the 28th quarts so keep that in mind while quartz hunting, anyway if there's a 29th I'd like to know whose Butt to plunder to get it, cheers all the same🔥🤘🏻💀🤘🏻🔥
If im not mistaken tge 1st pulse cell ALWAYS charged again when i was depleted.. even before i got the charge cells automatically perk. i am not seeing a difference in pulse cells charging ast the 1st cell after i unlocked the perk. Whats going on
The perk makes it charge significantly faster. I just beat a late game boss with this perk, I ran around the arena while this recharged and I was able to defeat him.
Locking quality of life things behind this skill tree is one of my annoyances. The hp regen thing especially, you have to get so far in the game just to benefit from it. I would have rather they just did away with their bloodborne lite mechanic entirely.
They didn’t take into account how many people might not use a lot of the mechanics .. last act never used a wishstone. Don’t use grindstones .. used golden fruit tree once . Legion is cool but really not worth upgrading
Yeah I’m with you there, didn’t wish stones and only used tree for respecting character.

no one is explaining how these work in practice....how is increased pulse cells related to stagger. none of it makes any sense
Extra special grindstone isn’t that great imo opinion because a lot of the time I’ll find myself buffing my weapon in a boss fight and can barely get in and get a couple attacks while it’s still imbued. The duration is very short and once it’s gone, those p-organ abilities are useless for the rest of the fight. I like to pick abilities that will stick with you the entire fight as opposed to abilities that are short timed.
ehh idk man it takes all of 2 seconds to buff and it’s mad useful for boss fights w/ 2 phases
The game explained this so poorly and I couldn’t even tell if it’s permanent or not. There also way too many options. I just want to play the game without having to research for hours lol

I agree with the leigion arm but the amulet slot is incredible. 4 amulets is always great and there is ways to increase your weight limit
maybe you're right on the second legion arm, but the amulet slot is 100% worth the small amount of weight it takes
@@MedievalMarty I disagree with OP's assessment, especially after the capacity buff it's something everyone should be leveling for better defense and more legion, and there's a skill (lvl 4 green i think?) that decreases stamina usage as your weight increases. Strong synergy with heavy, defensive, multi-legion/weapon builds that focus on guard/regain/parry, making them just as viable as light/avg weight dodge-focused builds.
I know you mean well, evidenced by this video, but you’re moving too fast. I slow the video down and you’re still moving too fast. I want to be able to take a picture of the screens WITH the enhancements IN PLACE, and you’re already onto the next one.
Absolutely usless increase egro, +1 per kill, even on low level enemies it is an absolute waste of a skill perk

It’s not +1 it increases the amount you get by 10%
so if you killed an enemy that usually drops 90 ergo it’ll drop like 99 instead. And if you killed an enemy with like 230 ergo it’ll be like 253 ergo instead.
You're missing phase 6. Maybe next time unlock everything before making a guide lol

@@EXL72 ikr. mfw max level in Nioh 2 is 750 with an addition THOUSAND (1000) extra levels to put into other stats and it's pretty intended for you to get max level unlike souls games
