How is the game population? a MMO would be useless with little population.. really hope this game have at least thousands of players to make it fun

I really, really disliked the right of succession part of the story. Wuk Lamat never was fit to be ruler. She won because 2 of her competitors were pieces of crap, and the third dropped out as he was a sis-con. We were never needed there. We never mentored her. Our primary job was just to smile and nod and be her cheerleader. Infact, EVERYONE was practically doing that and going on and on about how amazing she was, just as she kept repeating the whole peace and love and friendship thing every 5 minutes. She took credit for everything we did behind the scenes, I watched Urianger and Thancred side with the only one who actually should have been Dawnservant. He was excellent in coordinating with the Scions on how to rescue Wuk Lamat when she face palm got kidnapped by bandits in plain sight. She was clearly the writer's favorite, but she never had any real growth. Real struggles. Nothing that truly challenged her and made her stop and think about things. Throw in the cringy English VA that was just godawful for the part. She lacked the emotion and range for the character, especially considering the circumstances in the scenes that were voice acted. And then there's the fact that she was shoved in our face 138 times throughout the MSQ. We're having a nice chat with the Dawnservant after our 1v1 with him, getting some real lore and understanding of his rule, and she barges in, taking a break from her taco tuesday, because we're having a talk as adults with her father. She's upset that we're talking without her there, forces us to run some errand for her, then goes back to eat her tacos. Basically treating us like children. Sorry, but no kids are telling their parents what to do, unless they are spoiled little narcisists. When we finally get a break from her in Shaaloani, and get to do some adventuring with Erenville, the story there becomes a giant fetch quest to get Wuk Lamat's BRACELET. Are you freaking kidding me. Even when she's not there, she's still there. We never got a true break from her. Then there's the latter half of the story, where she should have stayed behind to run the country she shouldn't be ruling, but instead tags along with us. Her story was suppose to be over. But nope. The writer's favorite pet still has to tag along. Even with Krile and Erenville's family scenes, she's there inserting herself into things. Finally, the last trial, where she breaks through her cage to 'help us' against Sphene. In what is probably one of the worst English performances I have ever heard in my 44 years of existing. It made the English dubs of anime from 30 years ago sound amazing. I've been subbed since 2015. I've been playing FF since 1987 on NES. I've been gaming since my uncle's Commodore 64 before that. Anime's been apart of my life for 40 years. Dawntrail's story and characters were shallow, and childish overall. There was traces of really really good story that could have been more. These new writers though were way in over their head. And it showed throughout the entire story. The Dungeons, trials and raids though, easily 10/10. Some of the best in the entire franchise. I haven't had this much fun on raids, since, ever. No sleep walking through boss fights. And I felt more of a connection with the NPCs in the raids, than all of Dawntrail's MSQ npcs. There's a reason Honey B places higher than Wuk Lamat for favorite DT characters. Yes, even the Japanese have mixed reviews on the story and characters. It isn't just people on steam, contrary to what some that are overdosed on Copium would have you believe.

The biggest problem with this expansion's story is that you are NOT the main character in the game YOU are playing. Instead, it is Wuk Lamat, and she is, most of the time, annoying. Thank goodness the combat and dungeons are better than normal to balance this out. I know they could have figured out a better way to make this story work wherre YOU are the main caracter. Now that being said, this IS the first installment in a brand new quest line, so we can let them cook a bit and hope that they use this expansion as a story/universe building episode. Then, let US, THE PLAYER, take the reins in the future. I don't know if I can stand taking the backseat in an RPG storyline any longer.

90% of players left because there is no dungeons, no group pve content. Even so they still dont make it pve friendly just dumb management probably a women behind all of this.

I haven't played any MMORPG for years.. but previously I reaally really enjoyed Tera Online. It was completely free, didn't require any purchases, and you get free mount and the world was very colorful, huge and I had tons of fun just exploring alone or with an internet-friend. But Tera is gone now, so what would be the equivalent game to that today? Thank you! :)

i just did a playthrough with only only shadowheart, astarion and laezel in my party. i was full evil playthrough with killing almost everyone i come across. and these three just dont care whatever you do

More clarification on some of the new PvP changes: The PvE/PvP planet system is more based on how cities are taken, being by auction on Arboreus and by battle on Syndesia. Syndesia also requires you to flag up as aggressive for world bosses (legends), this is not required on Arboreus, but will lead to lower rewards. However, both planets have lawless trials that you need to be aggressive to partake in.

Great review. Subscribed. Just a clarification. I believe that there is no pvp or pve planet anymore. You can flag aggressive on both planets now. Divine trials on Terra are pvp if lawless. Just like on Aerhen. I think legends are the same too. The only differences between the two are cities, fortresses, and mini bosses. Aerhen, the old pvp world, has fortress to pvp over. Cities in Aerhen can be sieges and raided by other players. In Terra they don't have fortresses. Instead there are mini bosses that spawn at red icons on the mini map. Terra cities can not be sieged. They plan on putting in some other method of management there.

Looks fricking fantastic, even more w coop. I heard about this since covid and was ehhhh... then manor lords came out and I heard lot of it was broken and this game popped back into my lists... DOWN side I've heard however also, there's NOTHING really to strive for, what is the actual purpose? Sure surivie. BUT surviving here only goes so far, and the bandits/combat seems lackluster. Sooooooo, Perhaps harsher weather, factions, World things to make the game feel alive....Raids as well. I'lll consider buying this.

I was pleasantly surprised by the beta, I didn't mind the combat as much as others, but it definitely needed more work to improve it, which I've heard will be rectified in the Sept release going by the recent updates on the KR servers. It will be interesting to see how PTW it is, or if it's still enjoyable. Looking forward to trying out proper when it fully releases.

With karlach I did not jut has a simple dialogue. In the dialog we should start fighting. If I would leave her alone the quest will not progress... so I killed her. Witch literally makes me consider restarting the campaign...

I couldnt disagree more, after reaching lvl 70 I can say that there was a few interesting moments but the characters are the most boring well mannered and have the most repetetive, redundant meaningless conversations 95% of the time. Characters have boring back storys and the voice acting makes sound like an old childrens cartoon. I just wanted to turn to evil side put an end to that hell of world. FF actually is Focking Fuckers. Just try it for free and dont waste any money on such low budget piece of crap.

If you want to alt farm for loots, start another character. You can have 8 characters per server and 50 across all the severs. Getting savage loot is personal dopamine check, so it’s understandable you want everything with any time limit. I rolled 5 play character at some point. Now I enjoy mix of alts or main focus depending on what i feel like for the patch. PF completion groups mostly welcome veterans who already cleared for the week. At least half the gearing is done with books, anyways. As for alt jobs, i used to pentameld gears all the alt jobs I played. At some point though, I realized couple of tome gears and some crafted non pentameld is more than enough for savage clears. It’s mostly uptime limiting once you’ve cleared a couple of times. There’s really nothing that keeps you from being able to clear savages without savage loot. Just go play for fun for a change. Help pf out and stuff. If you are finding less than 99 parsing on every job you want to play, i think it’s time for an ego check

I won my first match yesterday with just firebreath and a lot of status cards. Each turn started with drawing a full hand, doing a lot of damage per status card the enemies had no idea what was happening

Also I would say it’s not too terrible an idea to play it in breaks, I find it rewarding in the sense that you can play it for a bit, get buffs and bonuses for coming back, you can take a month break and get “returning player” status again, as well as not burning yourself out too much
