Yamaha 660 Rhino Grizzly, Installing middle Drive output shaft seal

I use Douglas fir quarter round which is available in most lumber yards or hardware stores cut it down slightly

On the collar that threads in under the seal, is that normal thread or reverse thread. Thank!
