  • This is how to convert a Muncie or Saginaw 4spd transmission to a hydraulic clutch like a modern car. I cover how measure, shim, and install. This is bolting up to a small block Chevy.
We will be putting out new videos and content a quick as we can, so thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

I bought my hydraulic throw bearing set up from Speedway for my Saginaw 4 speed in my rat rod behind a small block Chevy. It was the one with their name on it. After careful measuring it was discovered I needed exactly a 1/4 inch spacer between the transmission and the bell housing. I am using the tall pressure plate. I started to make a spacer but found one CNC machined out of billet aluminum online in New York with shipping to Arizona for around $60 bucks. Got it in a few days. It was made so it was only necessary to back the transmission out just past the throw out bearing support then it slipped over and right in to place. Worked perfectly.
