    Great video thanks, I am looking at converting my 46 coupe but the speedway instructions state "wheels must be disk brake compatible." do we know what that actually means as I want to use my stock wheels.

      I assume it means the wheels need to be big enough and have enough offset to clear the rotors and calipers

How far in do the Perches on the axle housing/Leaf springs have to be moved in of you don't want to change rear suspension style? Can you still use the stock Gas tank?

    • @twodukesgarage1997
      @twodukesgarage1997 Před 2 lety

      I agree about the krylon. Hindsight being 2020 it would have been better and cheaper in the end to just spray it with summit brand single stage. Only upside to rattle cans is it will come off easy when we go to do the body work for real and it at least has a little rust protection for now.

  • @jmcdowell1972
    @jmcdowell1972 Před 3 lety

    I don't believe this was originally a big block car and would not have had the 12 bolt rear end. You can tell by the placement of the heater core intakes - big blocks had them further to the passenger side as they needed the space. The rear springs were also replaced as multi-leaf wasn't an option in '67. The SS model also had a different hood but as you say - the front clip was replaced.

    • @twodukesgarage1997
      @twodukesgarage1997 Před 3 lety

      Correct, it was a small block car originally. The driveline was pulled at some point in it's past sadly, so we are building it with a stroked BBC.
