Took a little time to figure it all out, but I got my 67 rs/ss mini tubbed in a way that keeps it looking stock. I'm even recreating all the correct mounting tabs for the hinge brackets and rear seat back. Fits up to 11" tires! And no cutting on the frame rails. The Mystery Machine #5 - Blue Paint Gets Sprayed Finally!
Great video thanks, I am looking at converting my 46 coupe but the speedway instructions state "wheels must be disk brake compatible." do we know what that actually means as I want to use my stock wheels.
I assume it means the wheels need to be big enough and have enough offset to clear the rotors and calipers
As always after bleeding give the pedal a stomp to ensure the brake pistons are out enough, l watched a student who didn't do this nearly write off his car leaving the college; he learned after that for sure!
What location does the dipsick go?
Looks like i will be doing the same type of repair here is there a way i can contact you via social media ?
Nice video. Thank you for posting
Thanks for the video, what is the TQ spec for the bolts when putting the cover back on?
Getting ready to get started on mine.
What’s the color code for the blue paint?
Summit Racing™ Single Stage Paints SUM-UP338G
What did you use on the rear brakes? Keep drum ? Convert to juice rear brake brim kit???😊
It has a chevy 12 bolt rearend :-(
I had an issue with mine, it says "tap the grease seal in flush using the bearing driver tool or a wooden block. The lip must face inward towards the hub.". Wasnt too sure what it meant, and any questions I asked referred to the 'red side'. I'm color blind.
I drove it in with a piece of black water pipe.
How is working? I bought kit but still wondering if I should use cable clutch? What say you?
It works great!
So cool !!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
The late 60's van in the background drew me in.
There is a whole video series on the Mystery Machine
I have a few questions if you can answer them. I have a 67 firebird I want to do this to (Detroit kit/ ok with frame mod). Glad you able to use the Back seat again. How far in do the Perches on the axle housing/Leaf springs have to be moved in of you don't want to change rear suspension style? Can you still use the stock Gas tank?
I didnt move the spring perches at all. We are still using the stock gas tank
Thank you for this, I'm going to try it on my 1967 Firebird. I didn't like the idea of cutting into my frame rail.
Turned out rather nice and saved 200 bucks
Saved it for now. Still looking for some originals.
New subscriber. Perhaps you might enjoy following along as I get my late father's 1958 Plymouth Suburban back on the road. czcams.com/video/7oprNhUVgfA/video.html
Did you paint the pipe?
Yes, with headder paint.
@@twodukesgarage1997 Thanks. I'm still debating if i want to do lake pipes with baffles, or side pipes like you did for my 47.
It's amazing Speedway only supplies a teeny tiny exploded diagram with the kit, no instructions.
Although it's not a Camaro I am restoring a 66 Mustang coupe. I feel your pain lol. Its the same crap with the Mustang panels. As much as I hate it I do enjoy the process of making the stuff work. Looking forward to your progress.
Nicely done.
Thank you!!!
The VIN tag tells you little on 67 or 68 Camaro as to how it was built
I am getting ready to buy a 46 Ford 2dr. Deluxe from a family member and looking for ideas on what to do with it so I subscribed to your channel. Keep them coming!
They are awesome cars! I have several more things planned for mine. Full interior, paint, re-wire, AC, etc... Thanks for watching, TDG
What company made the panel you are trying to fit?
CHL Auto Parts... Made in Taiwan.. I ordered from a local camaro only parts shop that I have had great luck with on other parts.
I show the label at 28:47
Well done!!
Thanks! TDG
I will have to check it out!!!
Cool !!!! 👍 👍
Clara loved it!
Good Job...
Thanks! TDG
Definitely you need to use more sparklies!. ;) LOL
Looking good fellas! I'm also tempted to weld up my rear filler panel seams. Let me know how it turns out.
Thanks! Will do!
Hey.... what I yelled over the wall a few minute's ago was to have a Happy New Year!😁🥳💥💫
Happy new year!!
Good video! Like what you guys are doing. I found you through my 1967 Camaro page on Facebook. Look forward to catching up on what you have done so far.
Welcome aboard!
“Craig will beat them with a hammer just so he could but new ones” OMG, I needed that laugh! Thank you!
Actually, I hate the krylon, but the camo gives me an idea to go WWII military sedan look
I agree about the krylon. Hindsight being 2020 it would have been better and cheaper in the end to just spray it with summit brand single stage. Only upside to rattle cans is it will come off easy when we go to do the body work for real and it at least has a little rust protection for now.
Lou Santiago told me once one of the reasons why he hated television was because they were expected to make due with sh1t parts and panels that were never meant to fit together.
How do you get escargot inside a rocker?
I literally have no idea how half of that stuff could have gotten in there or still been in there. I power washed, vacuumed, and blew out every inch of that car LOL
Fiberglass. My favorite tool. But my wrangler floor deserves better.
You should try Vlogging with junkyard digs, junkyard mook, and vicegrip garage
They are all far too cool, talented, and busy for the likes of me. I'm a huge fan of them all!
Advertising on Fitzee's page, is ya?
Anywhere we can :-)
Trunk pan travesty....
It was the only way to get home to Texas from Arizona. When we pulled the original tank the rust was scaling off like tree bark! I will eventually clean it up and make it presentable when I do the body work and paint next summer. Thanks for watching. TDG

Not the right hood sets are covered wrong
Hey guys, enjoyed the videos on the Rogue. I am starting a similar project with a Marlin and the subframe connectors got my attention. I'd really be interested in a completion shot photo-video of the connectors along with the suspension. As you probably know, the marlin has a torque tube drive so that's going to be an issue for me as well. Any AMC-Rambler video/advice is welcome. Best, David
I will see what I can do. Thanks for watching!!
I'm going to create me one when I create me one.
Nice work guys. I have a 1966 Rogue I am building right now. I just started working on it last fall. I just got the motor fired up (383 stroker) I've been posting progress videos. The first run video was hard starting because there was a bug in the carburetor, literally plugging the jets. I'll post the videos if you're interested. czcams.com/video/NwpfC0X0mOM/video.html This one is setting the idle. czcams.com/video/p_UxOSeuvEs/video.html
Love it! Thanks for watching.
It’s not a project until Brandon yells. :)
Or I bleed on it...
How are you going to make this car secure with the pop-out vent windows? I have a 67 Firebird with similar windows...
I don't believe this was originally a big block car and would not have had the 12 bolt rear end. You can tell by the placement of the heater core intakes - big blocks had them further to the passenger side as they needed the space. The rear springs were also replaced as multi-leaf wasn't an option in '67. The SS model also had a different hood but as you say - the front clip was replaced.
Correct, it was a small block car originally. The driveline was pulled at some point in it's past sadly, so we are building it with a stroked BBC.
How did the wiring come out.? I'd like to see.!!
Came out great. I am editing several videos on the rogue and will be getting them out soon.
@@twodukesgarage1997 awesome.!!
