Xoxo Abbey - Jak na to + styl
I recently bought chocolate pudding and then forgot about it. Twice. I am so proud.
Food noise is finally getting less, thank you so much for your content.
It's so beautiful to know you are becoming more and more free each day. You deserve it
@@socksandshoes8033 thank you :) I hope you are doing good too
Thats awesome! Congrats!
Oh wow, that's awesome!
Keep going, that‘s amazing to hear!!!
abbey! i used quotes from articles you've written about the WIEAD trend in my college health and nutrition presentation breaking down how toxic this trend can be and i just wanted to say thank you for not only educating me but a plethora of students in my class who vocalized a deeper understanding and different perspective on this trend/fad!
I love your content and your advice too! ❤thank you! Feeling better in my own skin because of you and all you do thank you! 😊
Abbey, I saw a YT short from another RD. She said eating dinner/carbs at night just turns into fat because we're less active and/or sleeping overnight, whereas eating with breakfast/lunch, the carbs at burned off throughout the day as one carries on. She said she's 100% for carbs just during the day at B&L, not dinner to stay a healthy weight. Any truth to this?? Thanks for all you do!!
what i’ve learned documenting a lot on food etc. in the past two years, is that it’s totally okay to eat carbs at dinner as long it fits your daily calorie needs! i’ve been eating carbs for dinner such as brown rice (along with veggies and protein obviously) for almost a year now and it didn’t influence my weight at all. it also contributed to raise my fiber intake, as i always choose whole grains. i’ve been to three dieticians due to my ed, and each of them told me a well balanced meal consists of vegetables, protein and carbs!
@vviittoria Thank you for your take on things. As a person who has researched nutrition knowledge for my own personal use for the last 20 years, I agree with you. This is what I have found in my personal experience, but since that RD I saw is an RD and I am not thought it'd be interesting to get another RD's take on it. TBH, the RD whose short I watched (not Abbey), I sometimes find gives me disordered eating vibes, but they do have good recipes/snack ideas too so I'll still watch the odd short when it pops up.
You're talking about Ilana, yeah?
I know I’m not a professional but my experience is that if I eat carbs for dinner I won’t get hungry later and start binging. Before I tried eating lighter meals but end up so hungry and start grabbing anything that’s easiest which leads to snacking and junk food. So far with carbs at night my weight hasn’t fluctuated as much
Everyone has different needs and different foods that satiate, and that can vary by time of day. Making sure you're eating enough and feeling good is way more important than anything else. I haven't seen any legitimate studies that show a correlation with sleep and how your body processes nutrients. Remember, when you are asleep, your brain and your body are both still doing a lot of work. Eat the spaghetti for dinner if you want the spaghetti.
Love seeing helpful versions of these :)))
Ngl I don’t understand the hate for body checks, especially if it’s a fitness person doing one of these. Part of the reason why they’re showing what they eat is to show how they got their physique, so showing their body is important.
I think it's just that it'd be better to focus on other things rather than appearance. Strength, endurance and overall feeling. But I get that it's really hard because the appearance is very motivating but the downside is it can also break your spirit if you're not happy with what you see.
Omg I want scrambled eggs and toast with jams now 😭💖
Oh boy, that was quick!! 😅
I let go of 50lbs eating this way. Took 10 months.
Such great meals!
Can you do a video on protein? Like whey vs plant and does it matter how you get it? Ex. Whole Foods or protein shakes?
This would make me gain a lot. For the past few years I’ve been gaining weight no matter what or how I eat. The only times I’ve lost weight is when I’ve done juice fasts and cleanses, but I hate the depravation. Can you address why someone might gain weight while eating healthy and exercising? It’s to a point where it’s affecting my health.
I would go to the doctor and get tested. I was the same way turns out I was pre diabetic
Abbey, you should review TheCynicalDude. People have come out saying he’s given them an eating disorder. He reviews what-I-eat-in-a-day videos and rates them. He uses a lot of bad language, even calling Diet Coke “battery acid”. It hurts to see people beat themselves up in his comment section, saying they’re gonna go to hell because they had some ramen. It’s a big problem!
oh my god, please stop. he’s being facetious most of the time 🤦♀️
@@jilletdelphineno there's some truth to this. For example he'll knock points off if the person ate a little candy, even if they otherwise ate healthily all day. He definitely advocates for an all or nothing approach to dieting, rather than healthy balance. Honestly I too had to stop watching him because of this.
Then don't watch him!
Yeah
I always her you say wedding day
Yum
This is a repost from 2 months ago no ? Love your content anyway !
That's about the length of my short content memory 😂
You're supposed to melt the butter before putting the eggs in the pan
Merriam, what should a SD with a lot of softness in the face do.... soft lighter hair or soft darker hair?
I kinda need some advice I have never tracked my calories and don’t want to I’m 15 and decently active (on a sport but I’m not super good and i definitely get out and stuff) but that’s not really what I’m worried about it’s more so I don’t think I ever break the 2200 calorie goal per day thing like I know that’s how much I should be eating but like I just don’t eat much and when I do it’s pea sprouts I have one maybe two good meals a day but I don’t feel hungry ever and I have plenty of energy so do I just need less then most people is it fine since I’m listening to my body?? Idk I don’t want to track my calories but should I just one random day to check?
What makes u think u should be having 2200 calories? If youre not losing weight or energy youre fine. Different bodies need different calories.
@@miche6563 the human body needs 1200 just to exist and like I said I’m decently active I just feel like I should be eating more and was curious as to why I (for as for as I can tell as I don’t believe in calorie counting) never seem to be reaching even 2000
@@ELHersh431 i just dont think you should stress, if its not harming you, doesnt sound like youre under eating. If ur healthy what youre having is enough.
@@ELHersh431 perhaps the foods you like and fill up on are lower calorie, perhaps ur body just needs less. Are u neurodivergent at all? That can cause unreliable hunger/full messages and many report forgetting to eat
@@miche6563 idk I’ve never been tested but it’s definitely in the realm of possibility as it does run in my family but i truthfully would have no idea and don’t plan on checking it I am also rather short is that matters but idk I feel fine and energized other then staying up all night long working on a project
Please, I need her name, what is her name
i had to re watch a few times to realize she was saying pilaf not PEEL OFF
pa e ya
But no fruit....
Serious question. Do you eat fruit's everyday? Even I love fruit and don't eat them everyday (unfortunately) and let's not forget the a 'how I eat in a day' will never make it possible to totally to the T depict someone's alimentation
@@D4rk14ser I do.
@@AndNowIJustSitInSilence
Good for you I guess
I kept thinking you said wedding day and I was like girl stop snacking and get ready for your wedding. What is wrong with you?
Eggs look dry actually lololol no hate, she’s filing and there was definitely time between when she filmed and eating haha
Beige
Sorry I can't stop myself from saying this. You tense the mouth depresor muscles when talking so much. This causes jowels and double chin in the long run. Massaging it everyday and keeping tension in upper part of face rather than lower goes a long way.
Also not everybody cares about this or about unsolicited advice on the Internet so just enjoy yourself 😅

I'm no professional but I am a gymnast
Don't think too hard on it
Just make sure your getting some protein in here and there to help you rebuild and stay strong (Stuff like Peanut butter crackers before practice are a life saver)
Otherwise
Enjoy your life
All foods are key to healthy diet
Eat however much feels good for you
I know I am not hungry in the mornings (I actually feel nauseous when I think about eating in the morning) but I know I need to eat something, So I eat a granola bar or something small and pack something else for the road when I inevitably get hungry.
There's no one size fits all, We all are different 😊
@@alexislennon4973 I def get protein as I love dairy more then air itself but idk I don’t eat much and it worries me maybe I should just talk with my doctor next time I see him or maybe it’s just hormones
@@ELHersh431 Yeah definitely talk to a doctor if your concerned, It can't hurt to ask 😊
@@alexislennon4973 yeah I think I’m mostly stressed because I eat less over summer because I live in the south and yk heat so I’m eating even less then I typically would right now because of a heatwave
@@ELHersh431
Small meals and snacking isn't bad I don't think as long as your eating something everyday you should be fine 😊
I wouldn't stress about it too much
