When I was a kid David Chase was old Now That I'm Older he's still old
He has the same haircut as Junior.
I was thinking the same thing. LOL.
Hehe
He keeps cash under the mattress
Haha Pauli would approve 👍
The amount of Sopranos dialogue I have lodged in my memory is crazy , a unique masterpiece.
When Chase is describing Tony Sirico’s surprised look, I immediately thought of the scene where Paulie realizes Finn is Meadow’s boyfriend.
Paulie really is a cartoon character.
SAME! That’s the greatest non-animated cartoon moment EVER!😂😳😲🌪🌪🔥
And lived because of it. Because he acts so clueless that’s literally why he’s never killed
Paulie was the only one in that cast that did some years in the can and was an actual Colombo associate in the past. So calling him the cartoonish casted guy is really ironic, and ignorant.
There he is, heh heh heh heh!!!
@@joerivandeweyer3056 And on cue, the know it all dbag has to chime in.
I’m well aware about Sirico’s time with the Colombo’s. He did time for shaking down clubs in Manhattan. He worked under Sonny Franzese. There are pictures of Sonny Franzese hanging out with the cast and visiting his old associate Sirico.
Youre not sharing anything new jackass.
David Chase is a genius for creating The Sopranos. Best show ever.
He is indeed. And his choice of all actors there is impeccable as well
What's crazy is that just hearing him talk, not just in this but the few other times through the years that people have recorded sitting down to talk to him for an extended period of time, it's clear just from hearing him talk that he's a genius in terms of knowing himself, knowing other people and social situations, and knowing art.
You rarely actually get that from other people who created works of art or science that are clearly genius. It's more like "did this person just luck into what they created? WTF?"
With David Chase, it's like, of COURSE he created this. How could anyone else have possibly done it.
everything else he has made BOMBED. However... that's fine by me. What he created and left us with is by far a masterpiece that will never go away, and as people get older and can see it, they are watching greatness bc it's the greatest show ever. I don't care how bad he flops... He's done the world so much by creating this one tv show.

and we wanna see how it was acquired too!
It’s the JAAAAAAAACKEEEETTTTT
I hope so but I don't see Richie in the cast listing :(
rocco dimeo never showed his face around here ever again.
@@xxczerxx not everyone in the cast listing is named yet…for instance, the girl in the beginning of the trailer who is obviously Carmela is not yet listed.
I love that Chase, when saying "No", usually doesn't elaborate. It's just "No."
He is very blunt, and his word is final. This is not someone you challenge lightly. I respect the hell out of that.
Ah...but he does explain his "No" response at 6:45, regarding Ray Liotta and the Tony Soprano role
Agree.. his communication style is powerful.. you need some pedigree and seniority to be able to pull it off tho I reckon.
The David Lynch approach.

David Chase who doesn't usually like doing interviews approached this one very well and made it completely entertaining. Hats off to the interviewer.
The fact that he hints that the studio is mis-marketing the movie makes me sigh with relief.
He seems to scoff at the “Tony Soprano origin” angle as much as we do. So I’m really glad the film isn’t really about that.
Yeah, when I saw the trailer, I said to myself: this is the studio’s idea of the movie, or the studio’s idea of what the audience wants to see in this movie, and at best probably only vaguely represents the movie that David Chase made.
I have no problem with a Tony Soprano origin.
Chase seems the least pissed off he's been in a while. Nice to see David - dare I say- borderline happy? So pumped for this movie!!

He controlled it very well

Jokes aside, as a hardcore CZcams Sopranos fan, I have no doubts that us, the YT Sopranos community, have contributed a great deal to expanding and keeping this show more alive than ever. It’s the old neighborhood though, my grandparents both came from a town called Pontecorvo in Italy. My dad says we still have family there, but we’ve never been.. That’s a dream of mine, to take my dad over and see where we came from.
On an unrelated note, I’ve never asked my dad a lot about what it was like, but he’s shared things over the years. Numbers were a big thing back then, he said everyone played. Not sure if it was technically a “mafia” thing, but I’m sure it wasn’t ran by the most savory characters either way.

Also, there’s a scene where Christopher is talking to Adrianna about her “Irritable bowel syndrome”, and he says “yeah my aunt Josephine had colon cancer.. her whole asshole rotted out”.
