Great video man. Thanks for putting this together. The bodybuilding feedback for Whoop was helpful; I’m guilty of following that lifting style with some cardio on select days. Still debating on getting a whoop.
Yea, a lot of people are guilty of that. It's changed my mentality to more of what my body is more capable of, rather than what it looks like.
If you can get over the monthly subscription model, it's worth it. That's what kept me from getting it for over a year, and I regret not getting it sooner. My two cents.
After watching your videos, I really want to get a Whoop but most reviewers on the Google Play Store complain about serious connectivity issues with the 4.0 that render the device useless. What's your experience been like? Do you have an Android phone or an iPhone?

I’m not someone who sits the majority of the time. It’s fairly active. I’ve noticed it doesn’t really track that

Where did you purchase your freeze bath tank?
I have a question about the strain score. Does it calculate only when you're doing a workout or all day strain as well. I'm coming from the fitbit world and 10k steps has been a metric I find helps me stay active. If I'm hitting at least that then I'm moving and feeling better throughout the day. Thinking of making the switch but want something similar to see how active I'm being throughout the day as well.
Yea strain even accumulates during sleep. I have a playlist on my channel detailing each metric of whoop.

I'm currently listening to your whoop episode on your podcast. Have you tried the app Welltory? It also emphasizes a lot on HRV, but in addition gathers data from a ton of apps and trackers to search for correlations

It's been 8months. How's the whoop? Still worth it to you? I'm thinking about getting one. I'm like you, or was, I focus on strength and not so much cardio. I need to. Think the whoop can help guide me to do more? What do you dislike the most about it after having one for awhile? Thanks for your time.
I bought it some months ago and tbh I been challenging myself to do more bc I like seeing how it tracks everything like cold showers(it motivates me to use it as discipline) Sauna, run and the gym
I only wear my Oura Ring when I sleep, rarely wear it while working out. But then you need an Apple Watch to import your workouts
Yea, that's what I've been told by Oura and others I know that use it. Or some people I now that are more endurance athletes, and don't use it for lifting weights are able to wear it 24/7.
How tight you used the whoop around your biceps?
Since it falls right in between two muscles, it doesn't have to be that tight. Just make it so it's comfortable.

ahhhh i have the whoop but still use the apple watch, i dont think the whoop band is for me just because im a bad sleeper and wake up to the fainted noise and wont be able to sleep for the rest of the night, if you have any tips in that department would be appreciated , great video just hoped that i could of used the band better.
That's all proper sleep training. If it's something that is really hurting your health, you can start with reading Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker. That book was such an insane eye opening deep dive into the importance of sleep, and how to improve it.

Be absolutely clear that Whoop’s sleep tracker is highly flawed. Last night it recorded that I was “awake” for 4 hours and 35 minutes. Total nonsense..
