16 Blood Mods for Fallout: New Vegas - Mod Battle

Here's some Falloutcustom.ini tweaks to increase number of wound decals, make them visible further away and last longer. I grabbed these tweaks from IMPACT's files, and removed profile decal settings since they don’t work anyways. Note that Falloutcustom.ini is only read if you're using xNVSE and JIP LN NVSE.
In the [Display] section, place these lines:

In the [Decals] section, place these lines (if the section doesn’t exist, create it):

I am not even an uploader of videos and I try and behave as civilizedly as possible (though it is sometimes difficult due to disrespect and trolling I run into) and even I found out, to my surprise, that I have FOUR warnings or notifications! ("Huomautus" in my native Finnish language). What the heck? I probably need to have a look if my complaints about them passed.
My computer broke and the laptop I have can literally only run (in terms of modded games) Fallout New Vegas so I'm ever grateful for these videos

Few mod reviewers seem to genuinely give reviews like this, they mostly just feature the mod vaguely without really comparing the quality to other mods, solid review.

Any way to increase the opacity and size (maybe even duration) of the vanilla blood spurts? I don't want to use a hitmarker mod and would like to make hits resemble pubgs style.
EXE has the same "blood spurting from dismembered limbs" textures as EVE. The blood puff when you hit NPCs is a mesh, so with Nifskope knowledge you might be able to increase its size.
The mesh you'll want to extract and look at is Meshes\Effects\ImpactBallisticBlood01.NIF. I can't help you more than that, I don't know anything about editing nifs.

Live Dismemberment is a crash fest without NVAC but damn is it brutal
So, dunno if anyone can help me, but no matter what I do in Vortex, the No Screen Blood plugin for Enhanced Blood Textures just does't seem to wanna work, no matter where I load it in the list. Other plugins for the mod work fine. Any ideas?
Check in FNVEdit if any other mod is overwriting the No Screen Blood plugin's gamesettings.

I've never heard of this mod, and can't find it with a Google search so... maybe?
Does packing textures into a BSA even have an effect on a modern system with the game files on an SSD? I thought the primary benefit to BSA's was just having the data grouped on your drive, which shouldn't matter on an SSD at all.
From personal experience I can say archives greatly reduce or remove microstuttering when loading textures, even on an NVME SSD. I wonder how much Mod Organizer's Virtual File System plays a role; I haven't been able to find any good information about this topic. I might do some testing and turn it into a video in the future.
@@PancuroniumB I have a few texture mods out right now and one is just shy of 600MB of loose landscape textures. I've personally never noticed any problems or stuttering, but maybe I should look into uploading stuff as BSA's then?
I'd say if you don't notice any problems, don't bother. Are you using Vortex, by the way? I still wonder if there's a difference between it and MO2. There could also be a difference between DX9 and Vulkan, the NVSE plugins being loaded, hardware - I'm sure all sorts of variables can increase or decrease stuttering and load times.
@@PancuroniumB I've used Vortex for an Oblivion 'collection" on the Nexus, but just didn't like it compared to MO2. I use MO2 for everything unless it's running a collection install to speed things up with an older game. If MO2 supported automated list installs like Wabbajack and Vortex it would be just about perfect.
Is it normal blood decals don't work for Robert's male body meshes?
I've never used that mod, but it may be the case. Vanilla bodies have no problem.

Nothing in this video. I've always had CTDs from mods like Ragdolls and Death Throes (maybe because of TTW?) so I've sworn off them.

You're right, I forgot that one. Big mistake since it's better than EBT's More Gore plugin and doesn't have compatibility issues. I also forgot that EXE has the same blood particle effects as EVE, without the compatibility nightmare.
