You know O&A are still very much relevant in 2023 because most of us all know how it ended and the details behind it yet it's always interesting to hear another take on it.
I have to say, I stumbled upon your page this morning on my way home from work. I deliver newspapers overnight from 1:00 in the morning until about 6:30 in the morning. I used to do this in college back in 2005 while listening to the replay of that day's Opie and Anthony every night. I did this for 4 years during college. Now that I've taken another newspaper job 20 years later for some supplemental income, it's a very lonely job. I started listening to every opinion Anthony from January 1st 2005 on, one per night just like back in the old days. But other times, getting fresh content about all of these characters and the show, I really appreciate what you do and I'm definitely subscribing. I'm happy to see people keeping these stories and rivalries and things from that time alive. When I saw the shock jock nine part podcast about opinion Anthony it was great, now I find your channel and this content is going to help keep me up through the night and make things go a little bit faster. Sorry for the rambling, I just appreciate what you do.
Re: the “Dice and Howard trashing Opie’s dead father” thing; if you listen to the clip of Dice on Howard trashing O&A, at one point Mancow gets brought up and Howard made the remark “I’m gonna skull**** his father’s corpse” or something to that effect. Obviously Opie heard that part and narcissistically applied it to himself and then internalized it as a slight for years.
I believe the reason Bam Margera was chosen as the person in the rumor, was because Opie's girl was from the Philly area , where Bam is from. Making it more believable than Johnny Knoxville or some other Jackass member or celebrity.
43:50 Also, Opie high jacking 40 to 50 minutes of every show to talk about the 'plight' of baby sitting his kids, with his 7 figure salary, giant apartment in Manhattan, with a maid, a cook, a personal assistant in Kenny and a do-nothing stay-at-home wife; as if anyone ever tuned into the Opie and Anthony show to be bored to death by that. Jim and Ant just sat there and took it. A testament that no one ever cared about Opie's daily talks about his kids, is there is not a single one of those bits uploaded on CZcams. You only hear it when you listen to full shows.
Opie doesn't make things up at of nowhere, but he does read into things. Anthony did once say on air that when the show finally ends he would probably do a political show. He also started doing his own separate podcast from his basement. Years before he wasfired, he set up a professional studio in his home. Its not crazy for Opie to think Anthony was preparing the leave. Opie's main issue is that he would assume things and then act as if they were totally true and be upset as if they were true.
I think that if Anthony didn't have a track record of talking about black people on the show day after day then he might've survived the Twitter tirade
"His mistake was saying "that community" jumping to violence....." How was he wrong? Especially after The Summer of "Love" in 2020. How was he wrong in any way? The world can keep pussyfooting around the issue, but at some point, a realization has to happen by ALL parties involved, no matter how painful or "racist" it might be.
I actually became an O & A fan from watching a compilation of their break up lol. Like 40 hours. But i fell in love with the show and i listen to anything i can find. I had heard of Patrice but the O & A show is how i came to know him as a legend.
1:17:35 Esther Ku was only known for a minute due to doing Rogan because she was dating or hanging around with Brian Redban. Brian would bring her on the show, notice how she stopped appearing on Rogan when Brian left.
One time when Patrice was on opie jokingly said to Anthony “I can’t even look at you” and they both laughed and ant made a nervous “ooof” laugh. I could tell no on in studio picked up on it
Dice mentioned Mancow on stern's show and stern said he would do something terrible to mancow's father's corpse. Opie twisted it into howard was referencing his father.
opie did the same thing when he did his show with Carl and vic. he wanted his co host to be his best pal who hangs out after the show is over. he has to be a lonely guy. his family must hate him or something
I have thought for years that it was opie doing that greedy math. He was thinking that if Anthony or Jimmy was fired his check would double. Then he would get cheap stand up talent that he wouldnt pay to fill the empty seats
Opie…”Mel Karmazin would not let me quit.”….Your Damn right he wouldn’t let you quit, I’m sure he reminded you of your contract and the amount of money it would cost you to quit.
Finally someone being fair to Opie because he contributed some major moments to the show. Like when he smashed the cd of convicted vigilante Bernhard Goetz or the cake smash incident.
Having lost a lot of my friends due to some trust issues, the Opie and Anthony impromptu reunion brought tears to my eyes. Literally (I’m a very intense person, okay). Lucky for my outward appearance, because I’m a Mercurio fan, it always ends with a laugh. Keep up the good work😊
Opies "gonna" hit rock bottom? Uh yeah that cringe master is there and has been there. As a longtime O & A fan i'm just fine with Ant's show as is, Opie not being on any media is a good thing
If O&A was a restaurant. Opie would be the manager. Anthony would be the Chef who's charisma would waft through the food. Sorry I was YT Chicken Nightmares and stumbled upon this conversation 😊
Opie would be the manager who thinks he’s the owner and keeps trying to fuck with the menu and keeps interrupting the guests coming in for a meal to give them a taste of his charm. He thinks the guests are coming for him, not the chef. And now Opie isn’t even capable of being a food delivery driver.
Loved O&A Anthony was my favorite on the show but I’m not one of those fuck Opie people. Listening to this show slowly come to an end over time was like ancient Greek tragedy.
They need to do a roast of O&A. Get all the (living) comics on a special to roast 'em, hosted by lil Jimmy. Of course, Opie wouldnt do that bc...feelings.
This is the clip referred to by Mike where Anthony gets annoyed with Opie, its not a full on argument like the Bam sex tape or grape fight but obvious tension czcams.com/video/UNs0oK1OvMI/video.htmlsi=v5maUm4T90ptIpSD

It's weird, even though this podcast seemed to take a fairly Anthony-friendly stance, particularly homeboy in the right (his generous paraphrasing of Ants tweets lol), I think I'm less pro-Anthony than when I came in. One thing that struck me was when he was on Rogan and Rogan said it was woman sh@t or whatever, and they're basically gossiping about Ants ex boyfriend, like women. I wouldn't want to work with either of them, it's both their fault, blah blah, but I caught a lot of weasely behavior from Anthony I didn't pick up on before. Like, not just @$$hole stuff but real weasel $hit. Remember the radio?
Yeah, Anthony is a weasel. Always skulking around making sure there's more heaping mounds of shit on Opie than himself. Opie was pretty bad, as far as bringing laughs to the table go, but I always looked at Opie as if he was the tard wrangler at the kids table, which he essentially was.
You know O&A are still very much relevant in 2023 because most of us all know how it ended and the details behind it yet it's always interesting to hear another take on it.
Opie is only relevant today because he's become a lolcow.

@@dannyhernandez1212funny because a video about people talking about o&a has almost 10k views lol so you're wrong pally
